Lu Youwei immediately moved his chair to help Lu Yuan up, his expression dark, "Lu Chen, have you lost your mind?!"
Lu Chen withdrew his hand, stood up with an indifference that spared them not even a glance, and began methodically undoing the buttons of his military uniform, inch by inch revealing the black shirt underneath.
"Chenchen, what are you doing?" Jiang Hai internally sensed trouble brewing.
"This past twenty-something years, I’m almost done returning what I owed, now only one thing remains," he said as he took off his military uniform and placed it on the table, touching the garment lightly, his expression apathetic, "This."
Su Mo suddenly realized what he meant by going home that night, her lips curling into a smile that brightened instantly.
Lu Jin, who had been silent until then, his demeanor dark and oppressive, suddenly stood up. The chair screeched, his somber gaze swept over Su Mo, and he stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
Jiang Yulian stood up in a fluster and walked up to Lu Chen, gripping his arm with tears brimming in her eyes. "What are you doing, child? Put this on quickly!"

Jiang Yulian looked at him in disbelief. Jiang Hai knew he was determined to take this course and he sighed softly, "Let’s talk after the banquet is over?"
Lu Chen shook his head in refusal.
Lu Youwei and Lu Yuan, who had been left aside, already looked disheveled and distraught. At middle age, Lu Youwei had developed pride and cunning, but the document disarranged all his plans. He stood up, pulling his daughter with him, "Commander Jiang can continue this banquet."
"Daddy!" Lu Yuan’s hair was a mess, and her delicate makeup was ruined by tears, making her face ghastly. She persistently tried to pry Lu Youwei’s hand, crying, "Daddy, don’t do this; you said you’d marry me off to Lu Chen."

"No! No! I came here today to announce I am marrying you," Lu Yuan said in a panicked tone as she tried to cling to his legs but fell flat on the ground. She turned around and, shockingly, began crawling toward Su Mo.
"Sister, I can be the lesser wife, just let Brother Lu take me," Lu Yuan pleaded on her knees at Su Mo’s feet.
Su Mo’s face showed undisguised shock and disgust, "You really are a family, enjoying ancient customs of multiple wives even at the end of the world, huh?"
She spoke these words while her eyes darted intentionally or unintentionally at Lu Youwei, who immediately looked terrible and started dragging Lu Yuan away.
Lu Yuan reluctantly grabbed Su Mo’s jacket; the light coat she wore was pulled down halfway, revealing a swath of ambiguously sensual bruised bite marks underneath.
Lu Yuan was immediately stunned. "How... how is this possible?"
Lu Chen’s expression darkened. He swiftly walked over, put the jacket back on Su Mo, and held her waist to help her stand.

The banquet had not even started, and half of the key attendees had left. The superpower users outside, holding wine cups, whispered among themselves, none daring to inquire about what had happened inside.
In the vast private room, only four people remained.
Thus, the drama concluded, and Su Mo, leaning on Lu Chen for support, smiled warmly at Jiang Yulian. "Aunt Jiang, long time no see."
"It’s good you’re back," Jiang Yulian didn’t know what else to say, hesitated for a moment, then came over to take her hand and patted it. "I apologize on behalf of Jiang Hai; back then I too thought..."
Su Mo shook her head, ignoring the stubborn middle-aged man sitting across. She simply smiled and said, "It’s alright, if there’s nothing else, I’m taking Lu Chen and leaving."
Jiang Yulian understood that Su Mo intended to take Lu Chen with her. Her lips moved slightly, and eventually, she uttered just one word, "Okay."
