48 Outright Lying
Niu Tongsheng didn’t catch on to the meaning behind Zhao Chuchu’s words, so he was relieved.
“It’s time to teach them a lesson. That way, they won’t dare to be so shameless in the future.”
“Well, as long as they don’t mess with me, I won’t do anything to them.”
“The house and the tile roof have been fixed. I saw that your table and stools are not in good shape, so I also repaired them.”
“Thank you, Village Chief.”
Niu Tongsheng was practical, but he was not stupid. Once he got an off-ramp, he was happy enough to do his best to help.

Zhao Chuchu recounted what happened briefly.

Xie Heng regarded Zhao Chuchu with a profound look.

Zhao Chuchu took out the medicinal materials in the basket and said, “These are the medicines to treat your eyes. Try it first. If they don’t work, we’ll try something else.”
She said it loudly so that everyone outside could hear her.

The people outside were working so diligently that Zhao Chuchu decided to also make dinner for them.
