At the mention of Lance, there was a moment of silence around, but it was quickly followed by a disdainful snort from someone who didn’t seem convinced, sneering, "What’s the use of relying on a single Lance? Can he hold down the fort?"
"Aside from Lance, the second year doesn’t have anyone worth mentioning."
"I hope this year’s newcomers can bring me some surprises. I don’t want to bully Elbert like picking on a three-year-old, achieving no sense of accomplishment," said a young man with a sinister temperament and a charming appearance.
With short silver hair and a tall, statuesque figure, the uniform of the First Military Command College hung on him like he was made to wear it.
That was Frank Morris, ranked in the top ten among the newcomers of the First Military Command College.
He had the capital to be arrogant.
"Don’t say that, Morris. We shouldn’t underestimate any opponent," the youth ranked ahead of Morris reminded with a smile as he turned around, "Even if the opponent has lost their fighting spirit, we can’t let our guard down."
The prideful Morris unusually didn’t snap back but reluctantly huffed.
The young man’s smile was warm as he turned to the side, his gaze settled on Mervin. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of Lin Fu standing shoulder to shoulder with Mervin, and his expression showed a flicker of interest.
The person behind the young man turned his head and glanced casually, saying indifferently, "I’ve checked it out long ago. The only person from Elbert who can pose a threat to you and me is Mervin. The rest don’t matter, they’re insignificant."
"Did you see the girl standing next to Mervin?" the young man asked with a smile.
The man behind him focused his gaze, but it was blocked by a somewhat familiar figure, "That’s Nolan from the Roman Rod family, the second son."
No sooner had he finished speaking than he saw Mr. Nolan get kicked aside, clearing the view.
"Huh! To think Nolan would take a hit."
The ever-stoic Morris’s eyes shot towards Lin Fu with the intensity of a hawk, a flame of amazement sparking deep within.
"That’s the one who drew the Big Escape Killing right in the Gravity Test Competition."
The moment Morris spoke up, many eyes around them turned their attention toward Lin Fu.
For people from other Military Academies, the promising youngsters had already made a name for themselves during adolescence. A top talent like Mervin had gained fame early on.
Only Lin Fu had emerged out of the blue, never before mentioned in any records or achievements. So many were unfamiliar with her, information was even scarcer.
Fortunately, Lin Fu’s performance had been like a flash in the pan. From the data collected, her talent and abilities could be considered above average.
But fortunately, it had made her name known to all.
Now, seeing the person themself, it was difficult not to draw everyone’s attention.
