"Don’t worry, I’m fine. The one in trouble is Celia." Lin Fu pointed to Celia, whose breathing was growing weaker on the ground, "She’s the one in trouble, suffering from multiple fractures throughout her body. With her physical condition, she’ll need at least two months to recover."
"What about you now? We’ll come over right away. There’s not much left for Mervin here, just focus on treatment and recovery."
"Don’t, don’t come over. If something else happens on the way it would only complicate matters. I’ve already called for help; Instructor Omnia is personally leading a team on their way here." Lin Fu then turned around and pointed at Fu Yang, "I have help here, and it’s all thanks to him. Without him, Celia would have been dead."
If she truly had no other options, she wouldn’t let herself die alongside Celia.
Ensured of Lin Fu’s safety, everyone could finally relax.
After the call ended, Fu Yang curiously asked, "Why aren’t you worried about your classmate at all?" He even moved closer to examine Celia, noting the blood all over her; Lin Fu didn’t even try to wipe it off.
"Do you have a bad relationship with her?"
"I wouldn’t say our relationship is bad." Lin Fu responded lightly, "We are classmates, but we aren’t very close. We’ve only spoken a few times. Tonight, she invited me out for dinner, and that’s why I came out."
"Do you suspect tonight’s ambush is related to her?"
"Without thorough investigation, I won’t casually suspect anyone. Even if she really wanted to kill me, she wouldn’t involve herself in such a plan."
Fu Yang noticed Lin Fu’s clear way of thinking, unswayed by emotions, a trait that put her ahead of many others.
"Though I indeed don’t like Celia very much. She gives me an odd feeling."

She was never stingy in showing kindness to people she felt compatible with, but she was always guarded around Celia.
Lin Fu pointed at Fu Yang, "Like you, though your appearance was sudden and I’m cautious, I don’t dislike you. Your personality and demeanor aren’t the types I hate."
Fu Yang looked bewildered, slightly amused, "You choose friends based on whether you like their vibe?"
"Yes! Of course, it depends on the vibe. A good first impression is a good start. If I get a bad vibe right away, I definitely won’t bother with them."
"Why save her during such a critical moment then? If you don’t like her, just ignore her." Fu Yang glanced at the Combat Suit Celia was wearing, "Giving her the Combat Suit increases your risk."
"No choice, I’m just kind-hearted."
"Hmph! I don’t buy that."
"It’s true. I’m very principled."
