Fu Xing put down the military report in his hand, raised his eyebrows, and said in a faint voice, "What’s wrong? Why aren’t you eating?"
Everyone looked at one another, all thinking the same thing: How could they possibly eat with him looking like that?
"Since you’re not hungry, then I’ll discuss a few matters."
Fu Xing’s voice remained calm, as if nothing had happened, continuing with his usual habit by first discussing work-related issues with Fu Tian, followed by Fu Yue, Fu Yang, and several other members of the family branches.
Unsurprisingly, Fu Tian was severely reprimanded, more miserably than ever before.
Everyone cast sympathetic glances his way.
"There’s more..." Fu Xing hesitated for a moment, his gaze sweeping over everyone’s faces, "Now that official business is out of the way, let’s talk about family matters."
"Is it about the sister-in-law’s incident?" Fu Yue asked bluntly.
The others inhaled sharply and looked at Fu Yue with admiration; truly fitting for the young lady of the Fu Family, so bold!
