Now everyone on Capital Star was convinced that it was him, the Land Battle Academy Principal, behind the scenes instructing Lance to surrender, all for the sake of Lin Fu. Everyone was calling him shameless, despicable, without integrity, without teacher’s ethics, unworthy of being a principal.
Even former comrades and leaders sent him messages, beating around the bush trying to persuade him not to venture down the wrong path.
He even had bad friends teaching him that if he’s going to do something bad, at least do it with some finesse—don’t just force it. Make Lance fight a bit first, then pretend to be no match and lose. Oh! Right, as Lin Fu defeated Venus, those bad friends changed their tune.
Calling him too stupid to cheat properly, getting himself in trouble and even dragging Lin Fu down with him, damaging her reputation. Thankfully, Lin Fu was competent enough to prove herself later, otherwise she would’ve been killed by this idiot.

Lance hung his head and only after a long while did he answer, but his voice was clearly that of someone who had cried.
"Really? You don’t look okay," said Song Zheng, not believing him. However, the anger that had filled him was somewhat dampened by Lance’s appearance, and he could only sit down beside him irritably and complain, "You really screwed me over this time. I told you to go easy, not to surrender as soon as you got up there!"
His voice was loud, and there were quite a few people in the hall when he spoke; at his words, they all looked over, as if they had caught red-handed proof.
So it really was Principal Song Zheng who forced Lance to surrender, geez! How shameless.
Everyone cast contemptuous glances at Song Zheng.
"Scram, scram, scram!"
Angered, Song Zheng felt like throwing his shoe at them.
The crowd scattered like birds and beasts.
"See what you’ve done? You’ve ruined my entire life’s reputation. Why did you surrender? You left just because Lin Fu told you to, weren’t you two on bad terms? I really can’t figure it out."
"I can’t figure it out either."
Lance was somewhat emotional but unable to express what was on his mind, because he couldn’t say it.
