Chapter 491: Chapter 491: Don’t Want to Get Out of Bed
Lin Cheng held back and restrained himself from kicking the door open with a swift kick.
Knock knock. The door was rapped upon twice before being opened from the inside soon after.
Fu Xing came to the door with a lazy expression, his clothes somewhat disheveled, carrying an air of rakish nonchalance.
One look at him, and it was clear what had just taken place; Lin Cheng was so angry he could barely breathe straight.
Leaning against the door, Fu Xing asked indifferently, "What is it? Is something the matter?" His handsome face and the innate authority that surrounded him could make anyone tremble deep inside, even from just a glance.
Han Shuang was about to erupt in anger on the spot, but this time, Lin Cheng stopped her.
Lin Qingfeng said with a smile, "It’s time for dinner, hurry up and join us."
Fu Xing nodded his head, "Got it," and then with a loud snap, he slammed the door shut.
Leaving everyone outside speechless.
Lin Cheng couldn’t help but sneer, "Good, very good, excellent." In all his years, he had never been so disdainfully treated.
In the room, Lin Fu lay in bed with her eyes closed. Although she had woken up, she felt utterly weak.
She had no desire whatsoever to get out of bed.
Her once dark pink hair had somehow turned black again, shining with a raven, glossy sheen. Her skin, exposed outside the blanket, was so fair it could make one’s blood surge in an instant.
"Who is it?"
Lin Fu didn’t rise, but she must have clearly heard the sounds of the door opening and closing; she asked lazily with her eyes still closed.
"It’s your uncle."
Fu Xing tidied up his clothes and had his men bring in a new set of clothes for Lin Fu before he sat back on the bed. He tenderly pulled Lin Fu into his arms and whispered, "Time to get up; how about I help you get dressed?"
There was a teasing note in his voice.
Lin Fu was not one to be coy, and she lazily rested in his embrace, asking in a drowsy voice, "Your uncle? I don’t recall ever hearing about you having an uncle."
With a light chuckle, Fu Xing said, "Not my uncle, your uncle."
Lin Fu suddenly jolted awake and instinctively tried to stand, but her body under the blanket was bare, baring a significant expanse of skin and making the man beside her eyes go dark and his breathing grow rapid.
In those dark green eyes seemed to lurk a fierce beast ready to pounce.
"Ah Foo!" Fu Xing groaned in a husky voice filled with deep sensuality and intense desire.
"Ah..." Realizing her own awkwardness, Lin Fu clumsily covered herself with the blanket again, hiding within its folds.
Sure enough, her movement amused Fu Xing, eliciting a laugh from him.
"My uncle, heavens! How could I have forgotten this?" Lin Fu suddenly realized she might have neglected something very important.
She anxiously tapped her forehead with her hand, puzzled, "This is strange, what’s wrong with me? Huh? When did my hair color change again?"
A faint sharpness flickered in the depths of Fu Xing’s eyes, and he said nonchalantly, "I think black looks better; it matches my hair color. But this constant changing isn’t good; we’ll need to check on it when we return to the manor."
"You actually care about whether the hair color looks good?" Lin Fu’s first impression of Fu Xing was of someone who lacked any ordinary human warmth. She even questioned whether Fu Xing had his own hobbies and dislikes, like a forever composed and restrained Divine.
Hearing him say black looked better felt as if he were a different person.
