Fu Xing stroked Lin Fu’s head in approval, “My Ah Foo truly has a discerning eye.”
Lin Fu, feeling embarrassed by the praise, tilted her head to look at him, “How did you become so sweet-tongued?” She didn’t know he was so adept at cheering someone up before.
Fu Xing resisted the urge to lean forward and plant a lingering kiss on her lips before reluctantly pulling away. He gently pressed his nose against hers and whispered hoarsely, “You’re the sweeter one.”
Lin Fu’s cheeks were burning hot. She sneakily glanced towards the direction of the automatic door and breathed a sigh of relief that no one was there.
“Han Shuang and my stand-in father are keeping a very close eye on me.”
Fu Xing couldn’t help but laugh at her joke, “Your uncle would be jealous if he knew you called him a stand-in father.”
“It’s fine, I wouldn’t call him that to his face.”
During the time she had lost her memory, Lin Qingfeng became her stand-in father in her heart, and after she regained her memory and thought about Lin Qingfeng’s protection and care all this time, she had long considered Lin Qingfeng as her family.
Fu Xing affectionately wrapped his arms around her, “Lin Qingfeng and Xiling each protected you and Evelyn separately.
