Everything that happened felt unreal to Emmelyn. After the guards arrested her, they brought her to a beautiful chamber on the top of the tower. The door was locked from outside, but the window was opened.
They might think nobody in their right mind would try to climb down the window thirty meters above the ground.
Ha. Jokes on you, Devil! Of course, Emmelyn would try to climb down and escape. She just needed to make sure nobody was around when she did that.
