"Mm." Lu Yifeng took his phone out and messaged his assistant, Su Lei.
Xia Meilin frowned. How can her brother give the family business to Lu Yifeng? "Why? Why will Sinian-ge give the company to you?"
He raised his head and looked at her, "Your brother will explain it to you in the weekend."
"But-"
"Momma?" Little Melon called. He entered the living room and walked towards her. "Can we bake cookies now?"
Lu Yifeng turned to Xia Meilin, he raised her hand and kisses the back of it. "Don't ask, okay? I gave my word to your brother."
Xia Meilin pursed her lips for a while before she let out a sigh. Since Lu Yifeng refuse to tell her about it, she can only wait for the weekend and ask her brother. She didn't force him since she trusts Lu Yifeng.
She turned to Little Melon and patted his head. "Let's go bake the cookies."
Little Melon grinned happily. "Okay!" He turned to his father. "Dada, momma and Mello will bake cookies."
Lu Yifeng smiled, "Mm, I know. Make me some too, okay?"
His son nodded happily, "Okay! Mello will make a lot of cookies for everyone!"
"Why don't you come and help us instead?" Xia Meilin asked as she looked at Lu Yifeng. She grinned at him, "Don't worry, if you don't know how, I can teach you."
He furrowed his brows. "Who said that I don't know how to make one?"

In the end, Lu Yifeng went to the kitchen with his wife and son to help them.
Although, Lu Yifeng didn't have an idea on how to bake. Unlike Lu Xian Yu who knows his way in the kitchen, Lu Yifeng is a total beginner.
Xia Meilin laughed as she watched Lu Yifeng. "Xiao Gua is better than you."
Little Melon smiled happily when he heard his mother's words. He turned to his father, "Dada, that's not a star. It should be like this."
Lu Yifeng furrowed his brows as he watched Little Melon show him how to make the cookie dough into a star by using the star shaped cookie cutter. "Use this, not your hand."
"See? It's easy!" Little Melon grinned happily.
Lu Yifeng sighed. So that's what the different shaped cutters are for. He feels embarrassed since he doesn't even know such a simple thing.
"You, my dear, needs to learn how to make your food." Xia Meilin tapped Lu Yifeng's nose. "Starting tomorrow, I will be supervising your cooking lesson."
His lips curled up, "Well then, I will leave everything in your hands. Please take care of me."
"Momma! Mello's done!" Little Melon smiled brightly at her. "Can we put this in the oven now?"
Xia Meilin looked at the cookie dough that was lined up in the tray. She went and took it. "Okay. Let's put this in the oven."
Little Melon went down from the chair that he was standing on. He followed his mother towards the oven.
Lu Yifeng went to the sink to wash his hands.

After having their dinner together, Xia Meilin taught Little Melon a new piece in the piano.
Meanwhile, in his study, Lu Yifeng was checking some documents that Su Lei sent him via email. Aside from that, he checked the background of Lin Yiyang that Li Bingbing sent him.
Did Lin Yiyang think that he can deceive him? In his previous life, Lin Yiyang went after him by sending his men to infiltrate his company. He even sent a spy to join his Jinwu team.
The Jinwu team is a group of highly trained guards that Lu Yifeng controls. The Golden Crows or simply, the Jinwu team are the one that serve the Lu family. Since Lu Yifeng is currently the head of the family now, he controls them.
During that time, that spy almost took Xia Meilin away. It was agood thing Lu Yifeng was able to come right in time before she was kidnapped.
"Lu Yifeng, are you listening?"
He snapped out of his thoughts. He raised his head and looked at Xia Meilin who was standing in front of him. "Yes?"
"What are you thinking? You look like you're distracted by something." She said worriedly.
"It's nothing."
She narrowed her eyes as she stared at him. It was definitely not nothing.
Lu Yifeng reached out and held her hand, "Where's Xiao Gua?"
Xia Meilin pursed her lips, she couldn't help but be bothered by him. She let out a soft sigh. "I brought him to his room and put him to sleep. We should go to bed too."
"Okay."
As they head to their room, Xia Meilin was quiet the whole way. She took her clothes and went to change into her night dress in the bathroom.
When she went out, she saw Lu Yifeng ijnthe bed, sitting down. He was reading a book.
She went and lay down beside him, she took her phone and checked if there was some messages. When she saw that there was none, she turned to Lu Yifeng and hugged him from the side. "You can always tell me anything, I will listen."
He was turned to her and kissed her forehead. "It's just about the business. It's nothing important."
"Really?"
"Mm."
He placed his arm on her shoulder and pulled her close. "I look forward to our cooking lesson tomorrow."
Xia Meilin rested her head on his chest and looked at the book he was reading. She took it away and placed it on the side. She took her phone and showed her gallery to him. "We should print these photos."
Her gallery was filled of Little Melon. There were some where she took a selfie with her son.
In the recent take, there were stolen photos of Lu Yifeng and Little Melon being together.
His lips curled up when he saw the photos. "Yes, we should."
"We should take a lot of family photos. I noticed that we only have a photo as a family during Xiao Gua's birthday." She turned to him and smiled, "We need more."
"Okay." Lu Yifeng didn't hesitate in answering her. In fact, he was delighted when she said that to him.
