She wiped her face dry before she turned to Lu Yifeng and looked at him with her red and puffy eyes. "Thank you."
He leaned and kissed her forehead, he was glad that he was able to reach her. He knew how painful it is to lose someone. He lost her once and now that he was given a chance to be with her again, he will never allow her to slip off his hands. Her death in his previous life made him realize that he should have cherished her well. If he had treated her well back then, she wouldn't kill herself.
"Yifeng?"
He was brought back from his thoughts. He looked at her and touched her cheek, "Yes?"
She let out a smile upon seeing the gentle look on his face. "Let's go swimming?"
He blinked a few times, "Swimming?"
She nodded and grinned. "I can't allow them to have all the fun."

Little Melon was a fast learner, he was able to learn the swimming techniques that Xia Sinian taught him.
Xia Jiamu and Ji Ruo were impressed when they saw this and they couldn't help but feel proud of him.
"Xiao Gua should enter the Army when he grows up. He will become an exceptional soldier just like Jianfeng. I bet he will be able to become a General in no time." Ji Ruo said as she analyzed Little Melon's body. While watching the water fight between Little Melon and Li Bingbing, she can see how good his relfexes were. "While he's young, he needs to be trained."
Xia Jiamu couldn't help but sigh, here goes his wife again. "You need to ask for Mei'er's permission you know."
"It will be such a waste if his natural reflex will go to waste. He's a boy, he needs to grow up tough and strong. I will talk this out to Xiao Mei."
"Talk about what, grandma?"
When the Xia elders turned their heads, they saw Xia Meilin walking towards them with Lu Yifeng by her side.
Her hair was tied up into a high ponytail and she was wearing a navy blue two piece swimsuit. A thin cloth with floral design was wrapped around her waist. It reached down her feet and it was swayed smoothly with her movements.
Meanwhile, Lu Yifeng was wearing a plain white shirt and black shorts.
Since they will be staying overnight in the Xia Manor, they brought extra clothes with them.
Looking at her smile, Ji Ruo was able to tell that her granddaughter has finally calmed down. She glanced at Lu Yifeng, was it because of him?
Xia Meilin sat on the empty bench that was beside the bench that Ji Ruo was in. She placed the things she brought on the glass table that was in the middle.
"Momma! Dada!" Little Melon exclaimed loudly. He was sitting on Xia Sinian's shoulders and was waving happily at them.
Lu Yifeng nodded at him while Xia Meilin smiled and waved back to her son.
Xia Sinian turned to Xia Meilin and seeing the smile that she gave him made him feel relieved. It looks like she has calmed down now.
She then turned to Ji Ruo, "By the way, what are you talking about earlier, grandma?"
"I was just telling Jiamu here about how I want to train Xiao Gua." Ji Ruo took the glass of juice and took a sip from it.
Xia Meilin blinked a few times, she was a bit surprised with what she said. "He's too young, grandma."
"Nonsense. Xiao Gua is in the right age to receive proper training from me."
Xia Meilin turned to Lu Yifeng, she doesn't know what to do.
"I agree with your grandmother. If Xiao Gua will learn martial arts, he'll be able to use it as a self defense." Lu Yifeng said.
Xia Meilin sighed in defeat. "Fine. But are you sure that you want to train him yourself?"
"Your uncle Jianfeng will be coming home for the Christmas break. He can teach Xiao Gua the basics of martial arts." Ji Ruo smiled.
If it's her uncle Jianfeng, Xia Meilin doesn't mind. At least her uncle is kinder than her grandma. Ji Ruo is a strict person when it comes in trainings.
"Then he can start his training by Christmas break." She took off the clothing that was wrapped around her waist before she turned to Lu Yifeng and grinned. "Let's join them."

After a long day, Xia Meilin and Ji Ruo went to prepare the food for dinner while Li Bingbing and Little Melon were playing video games in the living room. They were playing Fightnite on Xbox.
"Sister Bingbing, did you see that? Mello has 10 kills!" Little Melon grinned proudly.
Li Bingbing laughed happily, "You're better than I expected! Well then, just like what I promised; if you didn't slow me down, I'm going to treat you some ice cream after dinner!"
"Yay! Thank you sister Bingbing!"
