As they entered altogether, Little Melon was being carried by Lu Yifeng in his arm. In a very short amount of time, Little Melon was already attached to Lu Yifeng. The little boy was so happy that he finally has a father.
Ji Ruo and Xia Jiamu greeted them there and they were all leaded to the living room.
Both elders gave Lu Yifeng a glance and this time, they can surely tell that he really was Little Melon's father just by looking at the two.
Ever since Lu Xian Yu gave Lu Yifeng a call about Xia Meiren and Little Melon, Lu Yifeng made all the preparations needed, including meeting Xia Meiren's grandparents.
He admitted to them that he was the man who impregnated their granddaughter which surprised them. They know that they shouldn't oppose someone as powerful as Lu Yifeng but since it was all about their granddaughter, they gave him one good beating.
Lu Yifeng accepted this since he clearly know that it was his fault. To gain Xia Meiren's grandparents' recognition, he was willing to go through all the beating.
Seeing how persistent and sincere Lu Yifeng was towards their granddaughter despite all the hardships they gave him everyday when he visited, Xia Jiamu and Ji Ruo couldn't help but give him a chance.
Lu Yifeng was the kind of person that if he set his mind into something, it will never change even if he has to suffer the consequence.
That's why right now, Xia Jiamu and Ji Ruo didn't stop him from picking up their granddaughter and her son.
"Come here to grandma, Xiao Gua." Ji Ruo said with a smile.
Little Melon grinned before he jumped off from his father's lap, he quickly run and hugged Ji Ruo. "Grandma!"
Ji Ruo was so happy to finally see Little Melon and have him in her arms. Little Melon is a fluffy ball full of energy that brought joy to them.
Xia Sinian was watching from the side. He was surprised by how calm his grandparents were after seeing Lu Yifeng, it was as if they were expecting him to come today.
"I know that it is so sudden but today, since we're all complete, I would like to talk about Meiren's marriage with Lu Yifeng." Xia Jiamu said with a serious face.
Xia Meiren was surprised by this. How can her grandfather suddenly speak of this?
Xia Jiamu looked at Ji Ruo and nodded.
Ji Ruo stood up from her seat and held Little Melon's hand. "Xiao Gua, do you want to try the cupcakes that grandma baked?"
Little Melon's eyes sparkled upon the mention of the cupcake. "Okay! Mello loves cupcakes!"
Ji Ruo and Little Melon went out of the living room together.
"Grandpa, what do you mean by my sister's marriage with Lu Yifeng? I can't accept this! I can't allow Xiao Mei to marry him! He's her rapist!" Xia Sinian shouted angrily after Little Melon and Ji Ruo left.
Xia Jiamu rested his back against the chair. "I know. Your grandma and I already know that Lu Yifeng was the man who was with her that night."
"I will not marry him!" Xia Meiren stood up as she finally spoke up after being quiet and timid since earlier.
She doesn't care about how strong Lu Yifeng is anymore. She will never allow him to steal her freedom!
She glared daggers at Lu Yifeng, "I will never marry you even if you'll be the last man on earth."
Xia Jiamu sighed, he was expecting this to happen that's why he looked at Lu Yifeng as if telling him to takeover from here.
Lu Yifeng was sitting on the sofa like a king on his throne. He raised his head and looked at her. "Even if the Xia family business will be at stake?"
Xia Meiren pursed her lips as she clenched her fists. She gritted her teeth. "You bastard."
"Are you willing to sacrifice your family? All the hardwork that your grandfather, father and brother did to bring this family to where it is right now will go to waste. Think carefully." He said with a voice that sent chills down their spines.
Lu Yifeng knows that it was wrong to force her but if he wanted his son to have a complete family then he must do this. Besides, he plans on making things right with her after their marriage.
Xia Meiren's only weakness was her beloved family. If he was using this against her then she couldn't do anything about it. To be honest, she was scared of him since he was her rapist. He was someone she couldn't go against. He was someone that made her whole body filled with fear that's why earlier, she could only admit everything to Little Melon that he was his father.
The thought of that night still haunts her. The thought of not being able to fight back while she was being devoured was something scary for her. No one came to save her from the nightmare that Lu Yifeng gave her. Ever since, she was traumatized by the thought of being alone in a room with a man, how much more if she has to start living in under the same roof with the man who made her this way?
Xia Sinian watched his sister run out of the room. He was so ashamed of himself, he was her brother and yet he couldn't do anything to protect her from this devil. What kind of brother was he? He was supposed to be his little sister's knight in shining armor whenever she is facing a hard problem and yet, here he was, cowering on the side because of Lu Yifeng's threat.
