"Her name is Nian Jiezhen, what room is she?" He quickly asked the nurse that was on the other side of the counter.
The nurse was able to quickly notice who Ren Shiyuan was and as his one of his fans, of course, she knew the latest News about him. "You are her...?"
"Boyfriend! Now tell me where she is!"
Seeing how worried Ren Shiyuan looked, the nurse couldn't help but quickly give him Nian Jiezhen's room number. "She's at the room C-435."
In a blink of an eye, Ren Shiyuan disappeared and hurriedly rushed to the room where Nian Jiezhen was.
When he barged in the room, he saw Nian Jiezhen on the hospital bed, talking with her partner, Allen Rosso.
Both the Allen and Nian Jiezhen turned their heads to Ren Shiyuan because of his sudden appearance.
Ren Shiyuan couldn't help but feel relieved when he saw her alive. He walked towards her with large strides before he leaned and hugged her in his arms.
"Ouch!" Nian Jiezhen flinched in pain when he hugged her.
Ren Shiyuan quickly pulled away and said, "I'm sorry," before he held her hands instead. "Please don't scare me like that."
Her eyes softened when she saw Ren Shiyuan this panicked, she held his hand back and smiled. "Don't worry, I'm fine."
"Oh, you must be Nian's fiance. My name is Allen Rosso, her partner in crime." Allen said in English.
Ren Shiyuan turned to him and nodded, "Nice to meet you, my name is Ren Shiyuan."
Allen eyed Nian Jiezhen before he turned back to Ren Shiyuan, "I should probably go and give you some privacy." He said with a smile before he patted Nian Jiezhen's head, "I'll go tell our team leader that everything's fine in your side. We will come to visit you here later, okay?"
"Thank you, Allen."
After Allen left, Ren Shiyuan went and sat on the chair that was beside her bed without letting go of her hand.
"The one who got killed..."
"Ah... that was a Chinese special agent. None of my team died." Nian Jiezhen said as she rubbed the back of his hand with her palm.
He leaned and pulled her hand to his lips. "If I tell you to quit your job, you won't probably do it, right?"
"You know me well." She smiled a bit.
He chuckled a bit. "Yeah... to the point of rejecting my proposal."
Nian Jiezhen lowered her head, "I'm really sorry, Shiyuan..."
Ren Shiyuan shook his head before he took something from his pocket and slipped the ring on her finger.
Nian Jiezhen furrowed her brows when he slipped the same ring on her finger. "Shiyuan."
"I know. Just... wear it." He looked at her with a small smile on his lips. "Everyone already thinks that we're engaged so let it be... our marriage can always wait. It doesn't matter if I will have to wait for years before we can get married."
She blinked a few times because of what he said, "You're this desperate?"
He laughed lightly, "Yes, I guess I am. I can't just let go of the super cool princess I have. Besides, with you wearing this ring will shove off any men that will try to hit on you."
She flicked his forehead, "As long as you wear your ring too then I don't mind wearing mine."
Ren Shiyuan's eyes sparkled when he heard what she said, "So... it's a sure yes this time?"
"With that kind of condition you offered, I can't say no to it." She smiled. "But I tell you... I'm planning to get married once I reached fifty."
"Fifty...?" If Ren Shiyuan can vomit blood he would have vomited right now. "But our children..."
"We can always adopt one."
"No!" He exclaimed loudly as he stood up in an instant which made his chair fall on the ground. "I want a mini us running around our place! I want children with our blood in them!"
Nian Jiezhen ended up laughing out loud because of how reacted to the point a tear was forming on the side of her eyes.
"Why are you laughing? I am serious, Nian Jiezhen!"
This was the scene Xia Meilin and Lu Yifeng saw when they opened the door.
"It looks like they look fine." Xia Meilin whispered.
"Mm."
Xia Meilin turned to Lu Yifeng and grinned, "The bet we made... I think it's my win."
