Warm sun from the sunny summer sky beat down on everyone. The cloudless day was perfect for this sunny day. The light blue sky was brilliant against the green scenery. It felt so picture perfect.
"Brother, Mello, have you seen mommy?" A cute little girl asked as she stared up to the handsome boy in front of her.
The little girl was holding her favorite doll with her. She has hair as black as coal and skin as white as snow. A natural blush spread across her cheeks. She has big eyes black eyes and naturally red lips. The little girl looked like a living doll that everyone would make everyone turn their heads at the small beauty.
"Ah, Mengmeng, auntie Bingbing and mom are in the garden." Little Melon said with a kind smile on his lips.
"Mengmeng, there you are!" Another adorable raven-haired who was in the same age as Xia Mengjie, was riding a cheetah happily exclaimed when she saw her cousin.
"Xiao Chun..."
"Come!" The little girl went down from the cheetah before she patted the animal's head, earning a purr from him. "Let's play with Timmy!"
Little Spring, who was now four years old, was a cute and sweet small young girl. Her hair was tied into a high ponytail with pink ribbons.
Her twin sister, Little Star, who was a brunette had her hair arranged the same, except that she was wearing blue ribbons instead.
Little Star walked to her brother and handed him a book, "Brother, can you read this for me?"
Little Melon sighed inwardly, he was watching over these girls for his parents since they were having their own conversation in private.
"I want to listen to the story brother Mello will read tho..." Xia Mengjie said as she pursed her lips cutely.
Little Spring pouted back, "Hmpf! Fine then! I'll play with Timmy instead! Don't regret it later!" Little Spring turned to a small boy that was around three years old instead, "Liqin, do you want to play with us?
The adorable three-year-old boy raised his head and his eyes sparkled when he saw the big cat beside Little Spring. " Liqin wants!"
"Xiao Chun, Qin'er, why don't you join us instead?" Little Melon asked as he turned to her. It would be better if he could get the four younger kids within his sight.
Since they were in the playroom of the house, Little Melon was assigned to watch over them.
Timmy walked towards his master before he lied down on the ground and closed his eyes.
"See? Timmy is tired, so while he is resting, you can join us instead. Later, we will play together with him." Little Melon opened the book, "Don't you love the story of Hansel and Gretel?"
Meanwhile, the three years old boy walked towards Timmy and sat beside him. "Timmy."
Little Spring ended up giving up, she puffed her cheeks out as she said, "Okay..."
Little Spring went to sit beside Xia Mengjie and her twin sister, Little Star.
Little Star looked at Little Spring before she patted her head, "Xiao Chun, I will play with you later."
Little Spring's eyes lit up with what her sister said, "Promise?"
"En, promise." Little Star said softly.
"Can we play house?" Xia Mengjie suggested.
"Sure!" Little Spring was delighted at her cousin's suggestion. "I want to play as a mother, Liqin will play as my son and ge ge will play as my husband!"
"Eh? Mengmeng wants brother Mello to be my husband instead." Xia Meilin pouted.
Before things get bad, Little Melon decided to interrupt them, "Okay, that's enough everyone. We can talk about that later, okay? For now, why don't I read you the story."
But then, the two little girls ignored Little Melon.
"No! Ge ge is my brother so he gets to be my husband!"
"Mengmeng wants brother Mello to be my husband!"
Little Star poked the two girls cheeks instead which made the two turn to her. "Instead of playing house, wouldn't it be better to play Cinderella?"
"I want to be the fairy!" Little Spring grinned.
"I want to be princess Cinderella." Xia Mengjie's eyes sparkled in delight.
Little Star's lips curled up into a soft smile, "Then I guess I will be the evil mother."
Little Melon was thankful that her sister, Little Star was there to help him with the two naughty Little Spring and Xia Mengjie.
Little Star turned to her older brother and whispered, "Brother owes me. Buy me a new book, okay?"
Little Melon couldn't help but chuckle inwardly at this. Of course, his little sister would ask him for something in return for helping him.
After reading the story of Handsel and Gretel to the little ones, the kids started playing Cinderella.
While they were in the middle of their roleplay, the door went open, revealing a tall and handsome man.
Xia Mengjie's eyes sparkled in delight when she saw him, "Papa!" She rushed towards him and jumped into his arms.
