"Since the part where you asked Xing'er 'what kind of man is he?'" Xia Meilin closed the door behind her. "You should be careful. It's a good thing that I was the only one who heard it."
"Please don't tell dad." Lu Xingyan said anxiously.
"Don't worry dear, I can also keep a secret from your father." She chuckled. "Now then, I heard that our Chun'er is dating someone."
Lu Xingyan pursed her lips. There was no use pretending. If it was their mother, then she was sure that she will definitely take their side as long as they will not be doing anything wrong. "His name is Fan Jingli." Lu Xingyan began telling them about what she knew about him. "I have yet to meet him so I can't tell much except what I heard from Xiao Chun."

"Why?" Xia Meilin reached out and held her hand. She gently stroked her daughter's hand with her thumb. "Your father and I had a huge misunderstanding, dear.
