Lu Xingyan didn't waste her time while they were all on a vacation. She researched and trained her body and senses. It was as if she was preparing for a big storm, it also made her family wondered why she was so attentive on training her body when she was actually the type of person to stay in her room, read countless of books or watch doc.u.mentaries. The only reason she gave them was that she wanted to do something new.
Two weeks before classes began, they all flew back to mainland China.
"Eh? You're going to study in the same school as me? I thought that were taking different paths this time?" Lu Weichun asked, turning to her sister.
"I just want to make sure you won't get caught." She replied with this excuse.
"Ah, meimei, you do love me after all!" She pounced on her younger twin, giving her a hug.
Lu Xingyan sighed. There go her sister's endless hugs.
"By the way..." Lu Weichun paused and pulled away from the hug, looking at her sister, "Have you told mom and dad about this already?"
"Yes." Lu Xingyan turned and continued to pack her things.
They were going to leave tomorrow and head to the apartment that they rented. It is located near the school so it wasn't going to be hard for them to go back and forth from there.
"Let's do a lot of fun stuff together!"
"You have to be careful whenever you're going out with him. Always tell me, okay?" Lu Xingyan reminded as she looked at her.
"I know, I know." She didn't mind telling her younger twin about the places she went with her boyfriend because they didn't want their father to catch them. If he ever did catch the older twin going out with a boy, the younger twin will make an excuse for them. Their stories need to be connected after all.
Lu Weichun's phone rang and when she looked at it, it was a call from Fan Jingli.
"Excuse me for a moment, sis." She went to the balcony and answered the call.
Lu Xingyan didn't have to guess who it was. She watched her sister talk with her boyfriend through the phone.

"Meimei, meet my boyfriend, Fan Jingli."
The man in front of her smiled, "It's nice to finally meet you."
"Why is he here?" Lu Xingyan asked with a blank look in her eyes.
She was looking at the tall man in front of her. Just like what Lu Weichun said, Fan Jingli is tall and handsome. He looked smart and didn't look like a player because of his gentle features but she knew best that to be deceived by his good looks.
"He's here to help us tour the campus." Lu Weichun said with a grin.
The college building was just near the high school campus. Fan Jingli once studied in there so he still knew the place well.
Lu Xingyan was quiet, her usual poker face was on as she looked at her sister and her boyfriend.
She didn't have a choice but to follow them around quietly while observing the man.
The only ones who talked the whole time were Lu Weichun and Fan Jingli.
By the time lunch came, they went to a nearby ramen shop that was located near the campus.
"I'll just use the restroom." Lu Weichun said before she excused herself from them.
Things became awkward for Lu Xingyan and her sister's boyfriend when she left.
"I heard from Xiao Chun that you're really smart." Fan Jingli said, trying to start a conversation. "A genius. How lucky."
"Thanks." Was her only reply and with that, he was pushed back to silence.
It was hard to get close to someone when the other person was making it obvious that she didn't like him at all.
"You're really quiet, aren't you?" He chuckled lightly. He still tried to talk with her. "You don't like me as your sister's boyfriend I assume?"
Lu Xingyan paused from eating her noodles, she glanced at Fan Jingli and smiled, "Is it still not obvious enough?"
The side of his mouth twitched. Dealing with Lu Xingyan was really hard when she was being like this.
"Xiao Xingyan, I do love your sister and I'm serious with her."
She snickered inwardly. He loves her?
"I love you." She blurted out all of a sudden without batting an eye as she looked straight at him.
Fan Jingli was obviously surprised by her sudden remark. It caught him off-guard.
"I-"
"See? Even I can say those words straight to the person I don't like." She smirked, "Words can easily be said. Actions can also be planned to deceive others. Anyone can say that and not mean it."
"..." Fan Jingli was once again caught off-guard by her words. She really was unpredictable. Different from the other girls.
Trusting others was the hardest thing to do for Lu Xingyan. She was not like her sister who was constantly trusting to others and because of that, making friends didn't come easy for her.
To gain her trust, one should prove himself first.
A chuckle was heard from him, "Interesting. You truly are interesting, Xiao Xingyan." Fan Jingli said with an unreadable smile.
She caught a glimpse of his expression, one that seemed foresight and a tinge of cunningness. Lu Xingyan was not going to trust a man like him. Her instincts were telling her not to and she was going to go along with it.
"Eh? Why are you guys not touching your food?" Lu Weichun asked when she came back. She noticed that they were not eating.
"I was waiting for you." Lu Xingyan said as an excuse before she began eating.
"Here, have more meat." Fan Jingli said, placing the meat in Lu Weichun's bowl.
She sat beside him and smiled, "Thank you."
"You need to eat a lot."
"Yes, yes~"
He took another glance at Lu Xingyan before he turned to his food and continued eating.
