The brothers carefully closed the door to their room and exchanged glances.
"Officer Sun, how about a drink together tonight?"
"Haha, forget about her, she’s just taken a young husband at home and is pretty busy right now."

Officer Sun stood up straight, "Enough chit-chat, both of you come in early tomorrow. We’ve locked up a bunch of unruly beggars in the jail, and our Prefectural Governor has already given the word to release these folk tomorrow. These stinking beggars are sly, deliberately running around during curfew and even making themselves at home in the jail to eat and drink their fill; they’ve been spoiled."
After giving a few more instructions to her colleagues, Officer Sun left the Yamen in high spirits. She had been busy all day and was in a hurry to get home, where her newly wedded little wretch was especially clingy, always pouncing on her as soon as it got dark. Her back was still sore from the previous day’s activities, and she was determined to teach that little goblin a lesson tonight.

Meanwhile, in hiding, two men observed the scene with expressionless faces. It turned out a group of beggars from the city gate were beating up Officer Sun.
And those two men were none other than Liang Haoming and Liang Yuening, who had snuck out quietly.
Watching the scene, Liang Yuening weighed the silver in his hand and let out a vicious sigh, "Serves you right! See if you dare to push people around after this!"
When the two returned, they saw the young girl sitting on the bed, yawning.

Liang Yuening looked shifty, then cleared his throat loudly and said, "Just out for a stroll! What, is that not allowed?!"

He nudged his fourth brother, winking frantically for help, as if to say, stop standing there dumbfounded, step in before I spill the beans!
Liang Haoming glanced at him, then turned his wooden expression to the young girl: "Black market."
Indeed, a man of few words!
Dong Huiying let out an "Ah," "Right, the black market!"
Clapping her hands, she looked delighted.
Since they could operate a black market under the Prefectural Governor’s nose, the owner must be powerful and well-connected.
