Chu Songshu and Li Shi Ying too didn't know anything about cooking so they could only help with minor things like cutting the meat into smaller size.
5 minutes later.
"Wow it smells good!" Cai Lengjing couldn't help but blurted out this as he smell something good around him.
While Meng Yue Ming was cooking, the others couldn't help but smell something good coming from her direction.
Indeed, even Li Shi Ying smell the aroma of meat Meng Yue Ming cook and just with that she almost drooled all over the food.
Damn it the meat smells really good indeed!
Seeing Meng Yue Ming skillfully cook the meat, Li Shi Ying face couldn't help but turn darker. She knew that every female lead would have a superb cooking skills she knew it.
But she....she couldn't cook...people said you have to conquer a man stomach before you can get his heart. Wasn't this mean Long Ao Zhen might began to fall in love with Meng Yue Ming starting from her food?
Actually Meng Yue Ming thought the same too. She volunteer to cook because she was confident with her skill and hopefully this would amaze Long Ao Zhen.

30 minutes later...
"Its ready. Let's eat guys" Meng Yue Ming finished cooking the meat after properly cooked it for around 30 minutes. She made the meat into a meat skewer and provide them for both her group together with Li Shi Ying group.
When Meng Yue Ming finish cooking, the group immediately sat down in a circle as they wait for Meng Yue Ming to share the meat to everyone.
"Thank you!" after receiving the food, Li Shi Ying and the others especially the boys energetically dig into to their lunch. It's a simple lunch not luxurious but somehow it still look nice!
Li Shi Ying looked at the meat in her hand as she slowly took a bite. She was curious about this meat taste. She often read delicious food in novel but never have chance to try.

The moment Li Shi Ying bite the meat, even she herself was stunned with the taste. The meat surprisingly turned out to be very tender and juicy! The meat they used was the deer meat and Li Shi Ying thought it would quite chewy but it's so tender!
Not to mention that Meng Yue Ming use barbecue sauce like in modern world which no one in this world ever taste something like this. For Li Shi Ying, this taste bring back nostalgia.
The sauce was a little bit spicy but overall it really enhance the taste of the meat. This food is so delicious! Even though Li Shi Ying hate Meng Yue Ming she couldn't help but admit that she was a good cook.
"Wow this is so delicious! You are very good at this Yue Ming!" Lou Jiazi suddenly praised Meng Yue Ming out of nowhere as he munched his food while giving a thumbs up for Meng Yue Ming.
"Yes what's this sauce? I never taste something like this before!" Chu Lianzhe who sat on Lou Jiazi right side also commented on the food.
"It's barbecue sauce" Meng Yue Ming looked happy when everyone enjoy her cooking. She sat right across Long Ao Zhen so when she said so, she took a brief glance to Long Ao Zhen expression.
"You are talented" Even the silent Zhan Jiouli who sat next to Long Ao Zhen also gave a rare praise to Meng Yue Ming.
"Yes yes you are really a wife material!" Cai Lengjing sat at Chu Lianzhe right side as he talked. What he said wasn't an exaggeration since men always prefer wife that can cook!
Hearing this, Xie Mei who sat next to Meng Yue Ming couldn't help but feel a little down hearing Cai Lengjing comment.
Not only that even Li Shi Ying who sat next to Wei Zhuang and Chu Songshu couldn't help but feel down. She and Chu Songshu only silently ate their food as they curse Cai Lengjing in their heart.
Wife material?! Did this coward mean she couldn't be Long Ao Zhen wife since she couldn't cook?
Chu Songshu too thought the same. She took a glance at Lou Jiazi who look blissful as he enjoy his meat and couldn't help but lowered her head as her mood drop.
Cai Lengjing didn't realise his word just hurt three girls heart at the same time but Meng Yue Ming as a girl herself, realize it. She decide to take advantage of this situation!
"Your highness how is the food?" The only man that haven't commented about her food were Long Ao Zhen and Wei Zhuang.
Now she purposely asked Long Ao Zhen opinion in front of all her rivals for her own benefit!

Hearing this Li Shi Ying hand stiffen as she stopped eating so suddenly. Her heart beat for that question. Slowly but sure Li Shi Ying took a peek at Long Ao Zhen face to wait for his answer.
What would he say....
"It's ok" With only two words, Long Ao Zhen answered as cold as usual without even raising his head to look at Meng Yue Ming face.
This answer sound cold but everyone knew this man like the food.
