The Elven Evolution: Starting With 1 Million SSSR Skills Chapter 17

Because of the countless years of oppression, the wood elves were far more backward than any other race.

Whether it was farming, architecture or even technology, they only knew the basics that made life possible.

And for Eliron, who had enjoyed the wonders of modern technology, it was like being thrown back into the Stone Age.

In the modern day, he would have a truck and a crane to move the trees to the village, yet here in this medieval world, and worse, this village, the best he could get his hands on was a food cart...

But as Eliron weighed his thoughts, he wondered.

’Why don’t I just build my own technology?’

He was already building a house, crafting the tools he needed was the next logical option.

And so he followed that string of thought.

’I need something strong enough to carry these trees all the way back to the village...’

Since this was part of his workout, it would be preferable if it would act as a decent strength training as well.

’Should I build a cart?’

The village had only two horses. One of them was too old to do any serious work, but the second one was still agile.

Eliron picked up a stick and began making a sketch on the floor.

The idea of building a cart was simple on the outside, but that was not truly the case.

He could not build any regular carriage.

’It would have to be strong enough to withstand the weight of the wood, and the wheels would have to be durable.’

’The forest terrain is also tough, any regular carriage would snap before it even made it halfway through the journey...’

Then again, durability was not the only issue.

No matter how hard he made it, wood would always snap with the right amount of pressure.

"But what if there was something to cushion the impact?"

Eliron smirked as multiple ideas flowed into his mind.

’It has to be a specialized carriage, something far different from what is used in this era.’

A modern carriage of sorts...

Eliron’s scribbling intensified.

While he worked on his design, Yennefer was seated in her same spot, a little ball of mana flaring in front of her as she meditated, slowly manipulating the energy.

She opened her eyes slightly, stealing a glance at Eliron as he patiently drew patterns in the sand, then smiled.

’I wonder what he’s up to now...’ she mused before closing her eyes.

She too had a lot of work to do.

Artie was not with them today since she had something to attend to in the village, while Ash was back to his usual training regimen, his wooden sword echoing each time it would meet the tree.

Eliron spent the next couple of minutes working on the design for the carriage, scraping a number of them until he was satisfied with the result.

’That settles that...’

Now it was time to get to work!

He turned to Ash, who was just finishing his training. "Ash, can you help me with a few items?"

Ash walked up to him and nodded. "Yes, my lord, just tell me what you need."

While Ash left to retrieve the materials from the cabin, Eliron used his little free time to mentally summon the system. It was not the regular system that showed all his stats, this one was different...

||The Primordial Collection||

There was a conclusion he had come to recently which had driven him to explore the system.

Although the Primordial Collection housed more than a million skills, there was one fatal mistake he had been making.

He had been lazy, far too lazy.

Yes, there were a million skills at his disposal, but he could not summon skills he did not know as that would be physically impossible. Every single skill he had used so far were skills he knew from reading the novel.

Apart from those skills, Eliron was blank...

So he had come to one resolution... He would memorise 5 to 10 skills daily, that way, he would have an arsenal of skills to use whenever he would need to.

And then out of those skills, he would focus on mastering a good number of them, that way his combat experience using them would be greatly boosted.

Although it was extra work, compared to mages and sword masters who had to train for years to acquire such skills, all Eliron had to do was learn their names and function.

Still, that was not all he had on his plate, there was still the issue of affinities.

Grand spell cast, Meteor for example, a skill perfected by the dwarven king, was an Earth affinity spell.

Without the earth affinity, he could not summon such a spell, and even if he did, it would be far less effective than if he had built up his affinity for it.

’I have three tasks...’

Memorise the skills listed in the collection.

Boost my combat experience.

Gain new affinities...

As the screen materialised, Eliron took a moment to compare it to the regular system.

He was already aware that it had another tab, making it seem like he had a dual system of sorts. But he had not spent much time exploring it until today.

Unlike the regular system, the Primordial Collection was a bright, translucent golden tab and as Eliron stared at it, he scratched his head and huffed.

’This is a lot...’

The Primordial Collection listed so many skills that going through them one by one was physically impossible, so it had been designed in a way that was familiar to him, only a little more complex.

’It is like a spreadsheet...’

It took a few moments, but after studying the screen, Eliron was beginning to get a hang of it.

Every single skill was classified based on four categories; name, affinity, class and grade.

Class was further divided into three: offensive skills, defensive skills and general application.

While grade divided the already SSSR skills into power levels, 3rd grade being the lowest and 1st grade being the supreme skills.

Eliron immediately switched to the offensive skills and began scrolling through it, looking for something that would catch his eyes when he paused.

’This one...’ he thought.

The skill was neither classified as solely an offensive or defensive skill. Instead, it was classified as both, a hybrid.

Eliron smirked.

’I think I’ll go with this, spati—’

"I’ve brought the items, my lord." Ash’s stern voice pulled him out of his thoughts.

Eliron got to his feet and pulled the bag open. "Alright, let’s get started."
