Chapter 166: I’m Here to See You
She looked at the angry man in confusion.
“Xu Wanwan, are you confused? Why are you with my brother?”
Li Xuyi questioned angrily, “How am I inferior compared to him? Why don’t you even look at me?”
“You’re very nice, but the person I like is Li Jingran,” Xu Wanwan said seriously with a red face. “You can’t force love. There’s someone who will like you in the future.”
Li Xuyi was so emotional that he couldn’t listen to anything else. He took his jacket, stood up, and left.
Following the loud slam of the door, the air seemed to have frozen.
The atmosphere suddenly became quiet. Xu Wanwan sat on the chair and looked down at the glass shards on the ground.
The light reflected on the shards, and the dazzling light pierced her eyes.
Xu Wanwan’s breathing stopped for a moment, and her nose became sore. She suddenly felt very wronged.
She lowered her head and was very depressed. She didn’t speak for a long time.
Li Jingran glanced sideways at the girl. Seeing that she didn’t say anything, he stared at the ground in a daze.
“What’s wrong?” He frowned slightly and supported the girl’s shoulders so that she could face him.
Xu Wanwan’s eyes were slightly red as she met the man’s probing gaze. She pursed her lips. “I’m sorry…”
“I just wanted to see your relationship with Li Xuyi improve a little. I didn’t expect to do such a bad thing out of kindness.”
Li Jingran’s heart softened, and he hugged the girl tenderly. “It’s not your fault. Why are you blaming yourself?”
Xu Wanwan buried her head in the man’s shoulder. She felt that she was being pretentious, but it was also difficult for her to adjust her emotions. She said in a muffled voice, “You really don’t blame me?”
Li Jingran ruffled her hair and said gently, “No.”
How could he bear to blame such a sensible girl?
Xu Wanwan felt a lot better when she heard him say that. “Well, I’ll go clean up the table and rest early.”
No one enjoyed the meal, so they might as well go to bed early.
Li Jingran grabbed the girl’s wrist and pulled her into his arms. “Where are you going?”
“To clean up the table.”
“You don’t have to do these things.” After saying that, Li Jingran bent down and carried the girl in his arms. He strode upstairs. “You just need to sleep with me.”
Xu Wanwan blushed and muttered in a low voice, “Annoying.”
This small sound had nevertheless reached Li Jingran’s ears.
“There’s something even more annoying. Do you want to try it?”
“No! I know I’m wrong!”
“Then go to sleep obediently.”
After taking a shower, Xu Wanwan climbed back into bed and quickly fell asleep.
The next day was the weekend, and she accidentally slept in. When she woke up, Li Jingran had already gone to work.
Xu Wanwan yawned and sat up from the bed. She took the time to freshen herself then she went downstairs to have breakfast.
In the afternoon, she found time to go to the art museum, intending to ask her Master some questions.
However, she went at the wrong time. Master Nanshan was resting today, so she did not see him. Just as she was about to leave, she was suddenly stopped by Zhou Lin.
“Hey, wait a minute.”
Xu Wanwan frowned and turned to look at Zhou Lin. Her tone was distant. “What’s the matter?”
“Here, Master asked me to give it to you.”
As Zhou Lin spoke, she handed over a sealed and intact bag.
Xu Wanwan asked warily, “What’s this?”
“It’s a design. Master designed it for Li Jingran. He asked me to pass it to you.” Zhou Lin shrugged nonchalantly.
Xu Wanwan did not take it. She felt that things would not be so simple.
Logically speaking, Zhou Lin should hate her very much. Why would she give her the design?
Zhou Lin was afraid that she would discover something and said unhappily, “Are you going to pick it up or not? Do you want me to personally take this design to Li Jingran?”
“It’s not like you don’t know. Whenever he sees me, it’s like he sees his enemy. How could he possibly accept it?”
“Besides, I’m just dissatisfied with you. It’s not like I can’t stand seeing Li Jingran well. If the Li Corporation didn’t need this design, I wouldn’t have bothered to look for you.”
Xu Wanwan stared into her eyes for a few seconds, but she didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.
She took the design hesitantly and said calmly, “Thank you. I’ll pass it to him.”
When Zhou Lin saw that she had accepted it, a cold light flashed in her eyes. “Mmm, this design is very important. You’d better send it over now.”
Xu Wanwan did not show any doubt and agreed to it one by one.
“Don’t worry, I’ll send it over now.”
After she said that, she took the design and left.
When Zhou Lin saw that she had left, the corners of her lips curled up into a cold smile.
“Sister Xiao Lin, this move of yours is really brilliant. That Xu Wanwan idiot really fell for it.”
Xu Yue walked out from the shadows with a gloating smile on her face. “We’ll go find Master and have a good talk with him later. Xu Wanwan absolutely cannot stay here.”
Zhou Lin snorted lightly. “She’s just a smelly brat. What can she use to fight with me?”
“Let’s go. We’re going to find master now.”
After listening to Zhou Lin, Xu Wanwan left the art museum and went straight to the Li Corporation.
However, before entering the company, she went to the supermarket to buy some fruits and snacks. She carried two full big bags and went to the tallest building.
She asked Secretary Lin to distribute the food to her former colleagues and also left some fruits for Li Jingran to take.
Xu Wanwan had interned here before. Everyone was very touched when they saw that she still remembered them.
“Miss Xu, you’re so good to us! You must come when we go out for dinner.”

“Little Xu, when are you and Director Li planning to get married?”
Xu Wanwan was surrounded by the higher-ups. She was naturally very happy to receive everyone’s blessings.

“Miss Xu, Director Li is still waiting for you in the office.”
Xu Wanwan nodded to Secretary Lin and entered the president’s office with a small box of fruits in her arms.
“I’m here to see you!” She walked to the man with a smile and placed the small box on the desk like a well-behaved baby waiting for praise. “I even brought you delicious food!”
Li Jingran’s tone was filled with jealousy. “I saw that Miss Xu was having a great time outside. How could you still remember me?”
