But he wasn’t capable of handling this only with the hoe, so with his free hand, he attacked with flame arrows, stabbing right into the hearts of the goblins. He made sure to attack only them with the arrows because their skin was more exposed than that of the wolves or boars, which meant he could get better contact.
Ella was also doing a crazy job. She cast her spells like she was trying to speed-rap. Each flame blade cut right through the heads of the infected and left their bodies to hit the ground.
She was decisive, fast, and relentless in her attacks, like someone who had faced this sort of issue before. While she fought, she looked around and realized that a good number of the monsters had made it past her and the others.
"They’re getting past!" she screamed. Raze turned around and saw that they were indeed rushing past. He looked over to Fey, who was genuinely handling things there. Raze couldn’t ask him to chase after the few that got past. He began thinking of a plan quickly. But before he could even form one, he heard an explosion.
When he looked back, he saw Ken, Lewis, and Lady Tera standing there. Lewis had his hand stretched out while Ken stood holding a massive sword over his shoulder in full swagger, and Tera leaned against a building with a long smoke pipe in her hand as she took a draw and puffed into the sky.
Lewis had used one spell to blast back all the infected that had rushed in. They were no more than five, so for him, it was easy.
"Your father is guarding the inside of town right now with all his knights. He wanted to rush here when he heard the news, but we told him we would handle it.
Also, the maid is worried sick about you," Ken said casually before dropping his sword down, his eyes turning serious.
