The couple ignored the two children and drank until their faces were flushed.
Xiao Ying couldn’t help but frown when she saw this scene.
Cheng Yang’s expression did not change, but he looked at them with an unusually cold gaze, as if he were looking at a dead person.
He led Xiao Ying back to her room.
Xiao Ying had been thinking about Cheng Yang’s abnormality. She woke up early and listened to the noise outside the door. After a while, there was a burst of noise. It was the sound of that family leaving. Xiao Ying waited for the noise to stop before quietly walking out. She called out and sure enough, Cheng Yang was gone too.
Looking out of the window, she saw Cheng Yang drive out. Xiao Ying followed closely in a car.
She followed him all the way to the abandoned building that they had been to before.
The strange thing was that Cheng Yang came down alone. She didn’t know where the family was. Xiao Ying felt strange but did not have time to think too much about it. She hid far behind and watched his movements.
He pulled a package out of the trunk. It was stuffed full.
Xiao Ying was even wondering if the family was tied in that package. However, judging from the size, it shouldn’t be. This bag couldn’t even fit a child inside.
She got out of the car quickly and approached him quietly.
Cheng Yang glanced behind him and paused before entering the building, Xiao Ying following closely behind.
After Cheng Yang entered, he went straight to the third floor. The first floor and second floor were the same as when Xiao Ying had come last time. Nothing had changed. On the third floor, the pungent smell of blood assaulted her nose. The entire third floor was stained red with blood, and there were even some broken limbs on it. Xiao Ying couldn’t help but dry heave.
The empty, dilapidated building was silent except for Xiao Ying’s retching. This sound also alarmed Cheng Yang. Xiao Ying looked at Cheng Yang’s figure walking towards her with a pale face. Her vision was blurry and she fainted.
Cheng Yang grabbed her falling body and shouted, ��Qiao Zihao!”
A small figure walked out. Cheng Yang picked Xiao Ying up and walked out of the building. He put her in the car and Qiao Zihao followed with difficulty with his short legs before climbing into the car himself.
When Xiao Ying woke up again, she had already returned home. She felt someone holding her hand and turned to see Qiao Zihao.
Qiao Zihao looked at her quietly without saying a word.
Xiao Ying asked with hope, “Why are you here?” Could it be that everything that had just happened had been her imagination?
Just as she heaved a sigh of relief, Qiao Zihao broke her train of thought.
“Sister, you fainted because of Mr. Cheng Yang. I brought you back.”
Xiao Ying stiffened and asked with a pale face, “What about him?”
Qiao Zihao shook his head and said, “I don’t know.”
Xiao Ying immediately got out of bed to look for him. Qiao Zihao could not stop her, but the voice in her mind successfully stopped her in her tracks.
Amulet: “Destined energy source has returned to the path his fate has pointed him to. Your fate will be completely changed.”
With that, no matter what Xiao Ying asked, the amulet disappeared without a trace.
Xiao Ying was no longer worried that Qiao Zihao was still in the room. She shouted, “Amulet, tell me where Cheng Yang is!”
