Madam Xiao questioned again, “Why didn’t you say something nice about your sister in front of Cheng Yang today? Is there anyone like you who would treat a younger sister like that?”
Xiao Ying sneered. You would think they would at least have some feelings for her after raising her for so many years. Even if they raised a dog, they would’ve developed an emotional attachment after all this time.
But Madam Xiao didn’t even ask if she was okay when she saw that she was injured. How ridiculous.
Xiao Ying’s expression turned cold. “Why should I help her? It’s not anyone’s fault that she’s unlikeable.”
Madam Xiao’s expression darkened.
Xiao Ruoxuan shouted indignantly, “Mommy said that the only reason Brother Cheng Yang doesn’t like me is because you’re injured.”
Xiao Ying looked at Madam Xiao with a mocking grin. “Is that what you told her?”
Madam Xiao pulled Xiao Ruoxuan back, slightly embarrassed. She was feeling very dissatisfied with Xiao Ying’s attitude.
She said, “Remember to speak up for Ruoxuan next time.”
Xiao Ying replied indifferently, “I can’t.”
This attitude really did resemble Cheng Yang a bit.
Madam Xiao shouted in anger, “You rebellious girl!”
Xiao Lingbo was woken up by the commotion. He stood on the stairs and looked at Madam Xiao unhappily. “What are you shouting for? You don’t have the bearing of a Madam at all.”

Xiao Ying smiled and said, “Daddy, Mommy is blaming me for not putting in a good word for my sister in front of Cheng Yang. I’m sure you know that it’s already very difficult for me to stay by his side. How can I still have the energy to help my sister?”
Xiao Lingbo looked at Madam Xiao and Xiao Ruoxuan behind her and figured out what was going on.
With an even icier expression, he said, “You’re not allowed to approach Cheng Yang in the future.”
Madam Xiao looked up in disbelief. “Why?”
Xiao Lingbo frowned. “Don’t you know who Cheng Yang is? How dare you approach him? Stay away from him in the future.”
Madam Xiao said unhappily, “If Xiao Ying can, why can’t our Ruoxuan?”
Xiao Lingbo was so angered by Madam Xiao he accidentally blurted, “Cheng Yang is a lunatic. How dare you let Ruoxuan get close to him? Are you crazy?!”
Madam Xiao and Xiao Ruoxuan were both stunned.
Xiao Lingbo immediately knew he messed up after saying that. He looked at Xiao Ying and carefully observed her expression before saying, “Ying’er, don’t be afraid. You still have to build a good relationship with Mr. Cheng.”
Xiao Ying was expressionless as she watched Xiao Lingbo try to explain himself.
Xiao Lingbo’s expression gradually turned awkward. Xiao Ying soon found it boring and went upstairs.

Xiao Ying closed the door, blocking out all the sounds.
