A soft sound of sobbing came from inside the house.
'Ah, Bian reached home before I did.'
Jian gazed at the ground. 'So that Bian waited for me by the gate but when he couldn't bully me with his friends he approached his grandmother. Tsk I never knew he was such a green tea bitch before.'
In his last life, he had been an innocent lamb. No, a doormat. These people have been walking all over him and he had been accepting that treatment with a smile.
How stupid of me.
After that alien invasion, he did learn how cruel the world was and he survived facing so many types of men. but since Bian was such a 'kind' person to him, he was not vigilant against him.
That small overlook led him to be captured abused and killed before he could live out his life.
"What don't have words now?!"
"How dare you bully him! My precious child has been delicate since childhood. You leech stole all nutrients now you dare bully him!" she charged at him and hit his shoulders with a dirty slipper.
He moved in a way that the slipper did not make a great impact on him. But he did not completely dodge it. after all, dodging will only result in harsher punishment.
"Grandma don't!" Bian ran out of the room and hugged her body. "Please he didn't do anything. Jian is innocent,"
Jian watched his act through his hair. If Bian wanted to stop his grandmother, he could have held her arms, The old woman was not that strong he could have stopped him but he directly hugged her waist and begged.
His heart ran cold.
"Bian baby, you go back inside." Grandmother gently touched the top of his head. "I'll deal with him for you,"
"But Grandmother Jian is never a bad guy. He did not do it intentionally."
Such words only enraged his grandmother.
"He would have done it intentionally. Look at his eyes! Even a dog would be grateful if it was raised for long. But this bastard only causes trouble for you every tune. How dare he hurt you!" The hits became much stronger.
Every single one of those hits fell on his shoulders making it ache sharply.
Jian coldly glanced at the ground. His resolve to leave strengthened. Even though they betrayed him and treated him coldly, he still held that familiar affection in his heart till now. But this one incident changed it all.
'I have to leave. t-they are not my family.'
"Stop it, grandmother!" Bian finally grabbed her wrist. He gazed down at Jian with a slight frown. 'What if she kills him before I could achieve my goals? He still needs to live until the alien invasion. Then I'll kill him.' He gently massaged Jian's shoulders. "Does it hurt?"
"hmph! Let that bastard sleep outside. He is not allowed in his room!" she kicked him one last time. "I'll buy some chicken. My poor baby is coughing nonstop," she mumbled and left the house.
Bian held Jian up and wiped the dirt off his white school shirt. "ah, you've got a cut here... I'll bring the bandage," as he said that he pressed on the cut hard.
Jian flinched slightly.
After doing so he ran to the shelf and took out the first aid box. He quickly took out an old bandage amongst the newer ones.
"This will keep it clean." With a smile, he approached Jian who was still on the ground.
Jian remained silent as he cleaned the cut with a cotton pad.
"Bian..."
"hmm~"
"you gave that seat yourself. did I bully you?"
Bian froze. "W-what do you mean? You never bullied me."
"Then why does grandma think I bullied you," he gazed up, peering into his eyes.
Bian's pupils trembled slightly. "I tried to explain it to her but she refused to believe me. You never bullied me."
Jian nodded. "Hmm, I'll explain it to your friends too. They seem to also have that misunderstanding that I bullied you. You can attest to it tomorrow," he smiled softly. "Because you are the best brother,"
"Y-yes... let's clear the misunderstanding," Bian tightly fisted the bandage in his hand. He had been hoping that his 'friends' could bully Jian a bit more so that he would be weak-willed and rely on him.
'What changed? Why does he speak so clearly?'
Jian still had that innocent smile on his face. but something had changed.
He had that dangerous aura around him.
Bian trembled slightly. 'Why is he cold to me? did I go too far? No, I didn't bully him directly. He would never alienate me. I'm the only person who is kind to him.'
"The... the ground is cold. Come on let's go to my room." Bian led him to his room. "You can sleep in my bed."
"No brother. You're sick. You should rest. I'll head back to my room," he smiled softly.
"Okay." Bian closed the door behind him.
Jian coldly gazed at the door. 'I need to know why he wants my blood and my jewel. Let's stick close. One day or another, he will reveal it.'
