Nansich huffed out a ring of smoke in silence.
"Boss... is something wrong? You've been silent for a while,"
Nansich scowled deeply, peering at the ash that was falling off the tip pf the cigarette. 'Why is there such a disparity... if men liked that exists, its hard for me to even stand a chance. What if Bian sees them and falls for them? No. Bian is not that shallow. He actually likes me for my character,' he thought to himself, nodding.
The cigarette was soon fully turned to ash.
He dropped it to the ground and snuffed it by stomping on it. 'Bian is mine, only mine.'
"let's go, that bastard must have gone home by now. Well, deal with him tomorrow."
Seeing that Nansich had returned to his cheerful self, the gang happily joked and ran around. "Boss, the noodle place nearby is good. And I'm feeling slightly hungry," one of the guys sheepishly gazed his way.
Nansich chuckled. "let's have a small snack then. My treat,"
"Yeah! You're the best boss" they all happily shouted as they ran to the store that was a bit further on the street.
but as they were getting close, they spotted someone they had been searching for right out of the restaurant. "Boss, that's Jian right!"
"Catch him!" they bolted towards him in fury.
Jian happily hugged the bag of takeout in his arms as he walked back home. 'Should I hide this? if grandma found this, she might throw it out.' he paused and pulled his bag up front to stuff it in.
Stunned, he gazed back.
"Stop right there, you brat!!" Nansich shouted as he charged towards him from afar.
Jian took off. he would be an idiot to stop when asked to. He ran as fast as he could.
'How did they find me? Do they know I work there? I walked a bit far.' He thought in panic. If Nansich managed to find this part-time job, it would cause a great inconvenience to the restaurant.
'Why are they even chasing me?' he glanced back. ' I didn't do anything...'
Nansich looked like he was ready to kill him.
Getting his teeth, Jian sped up slightly. 'it must be that Bian. That bastard! One day! I ask for one day of peace! Why is he so annoying!'
Panting, he ran to the nearby street. 'I... I don't have the stamina I had in my past life. fuck...' his legs were already burning and starting to give out.
Lack of oxygen made his eyes foggy and made him panic even more.
"Stop! Jian!!!" Nansich shouted.
Without glancing back, Jian ran across the street. But all of a sudden, a bright light hit his face. Unknowingly he had run into the street.
'Fuck!!!' in a panic he stumbled and fell on the road.
He watched in horror as the car's headlight rapidly moved towards him. it was too close. He did not have the time to react. 'I didn't wish for it to end like this...' he closed his eyes tightly.
His nostrils filled with the scent of burning plastic and a loud screeching sound was heard. A cold metal bumped into his face softly, coming to a stop before it could do any damage.
Jian slowly opened his eyes. The car was impossibly close to him. but thankfully the driver had stopped right in time before it could do any damage.
The car door opened.
"Jian you bastard!!! I told you to stop, why didn't you listen!!!" Nansich's scream pulled him out of that dazed state.
Jian shot up and ran off in a hurry.
Nansich ran up the intersection panting. He watched the slim figure rush off without a pause. "Shit boss... he ran off..."
But Nansich could not hear anything except the sound of his heartbeat echoing in his ear drums. Placing a hand on his chest, he looked at the car in shock. he had called out to him the moment he ran to the road but Jian didn't listen. 'That bastard was almost run over... didn't I wish for him to be hurt. Then Why do I feel like this... I feel... bad...'
"What is going on?" a mellow voice suddenly pulled him out of his dazed state.
Looking to his left, he spotted that man he saw at the construction site. He looked his way with a cold look in his eyes.
Nansich gulped. "n-nothing." His whole body felt like it was submerged in a bucket of cold water. His every muscle in his body tensed up. 'what is this... why...' he fearfully looked at the man's pale blue eyes. 'Danger...'
This man exuded danger.
"That didn't look like nothing."
"Xing, come on I'm hungry," the blond-haired man called out to him from the passenger seat.
The tall, cold man sneered their way and got into the car.
Nansich fell to the ground weakly. 'Why did I feel like that. that irrational fear is not normal. He didn't feel... human.' He gulped, massaging his face.
"Boss! You okay? Fuck it's all that Jian's fault. He made our boss faint!" his cronies started to make a racket.
Nansich opened his eyes tiredly. 'Yes, it's all that Jian's fault. Or else I wouldn't have met that terrifying man. I wouldn't have been embarrassed like this.' his eyes fell on the takeout bag that was crushed by the car as it drove away.
"Giya's foods." Was printed on it in block.
"that's where you were hiding, huh..." he smiled dangerously. "I'll deal with you tomorrow. Jian..."
