The Favored Heiress Chapter 764

In the garden outside the building, Yun Lih followed Su Moshi to a secluded corner, and as soon as they stopped, Yun Lih pulled out a cigarette case from his pants pocket.

Su Moshi pushed away the gesture of being offered a cigarette, his eyes, brimming with undertones, unwaveringly fixed on Yun Lih.

Something seemed off about him, but Su Moshi couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was.

Su Moshi pondered for a moment and then asked bluntly, "What’s wrong with your health?"

Yun Lih’s action of lighting the cigarette halted, his eyebrows slightly raised, "Me? It’s just a little cold."

Su Moshi, watching him greedily take deep drags of his cigarette, furrowed his brows, "If it’s just a cold, why do you look so pale?"

"It is indeed a cold," Yun Lih turned his head and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke, his handsome profile becoming blurred and hazy, "lately, I’ve had quite a bit of disguising material on my face, it’s unavoidable."

His nonchalant attitude made it difficult for Su Moshi to say more.

After exchanging a few more words, Su Moshi glanced towards the fountain, "Why don’t you take some time these next few days to visit Myst Town? My office has some special medicine for treating colds."

Yun Lih chuckled, raised his hand holding the cigarette, and heavily patted Su Moshi on the shoulder, "Alright, thanks, Fourth Bro."

Less than twenty minutes later, the Crown Prince left the other courtyard.

Shang Yu and Li Qiao stayed by Shang Zonghai’s side, their gazes meeting as Shang Zonghai smiled profoundly, "It seems that this identity of Archbishop isn’t completely useless after all."

Li Qiao lowered her gaze to cover the unrest in her eyes.

Just now in the bedroom, she had learned about the origins of the Archbishop.

Five years ago, when the previous Archbishop retired, Crown Prince George advised the King to appoint Shang Yu as the Archbishop.

The church leader has always been directly appointed by the Royal Family, in charge of managing and supervising the affairs of their diocese.

And Shang Yu rarely made public appearances; most of the church affairs were handled by two of the church’s own bishops.

In simple terms, it was a high-ranking but idle position.

Shang Yu’s deep black eyes sparkled with amusement, "You were visionary."

Shang Zonghai pushed his glasses, his peripheral vision glancing towards He Chen and the others in the front yard, "I’ve had Wei Lang prepare rooms for them; let them all stay and rest in the other courtyard."

The man complied, and Shang Zonghai let out a long sigh, smiling amiably at Li Qiao, "Girl, rest early tonight; we can talk about everything else tomorrow."

Li Qiao smiled softly, "Alright, Dad."

Not long after, Shang Zonghai, too, departed.

Li Qiao made a gesture to Xia Siyu and the others, signaling them to come inside.

He Chen, Feng Yi, Xi Luo, and Gu Chenn huddled together chatting about something, with Xi Luo laughing till she was shaking like a leaf.

Li Qiao took an extra glance, and right on cue, a teasing voice reached her, "Stop looking, someone mentioned they want to introduce your sister to a wolf dog."

She followed the voice, raising her eyebrows to find Yun Lih leaning leisurely against a Roman column by the entrance, watching her with interest.

Li Qiao shook her head and pursed her lips towards the room, "Let’s go in."

In the living room, the four sons and Yun Lih took their seats in succession, and with Shang Yu absent, the atmosphere was actually quite harmonious.

Li Qiao rested her forehead on her hand and lifted her eyelids, outspokenly saying, "I’m not going back to the country for the time being, what are your plans?"

"I’m not going back either," Xia Siyu slightly opened her lips, then feeling it sounded too deliberate, twisted her mouth as if to complain, "My dad wants me to get familiar with the overseas business, don’t know what he’s thinking."

Li Qiao gave her a glance, a mischievous light hiding in her eyes.

Song Liao nudged Shen Qingye with his shoulder, "Doggy, what about you?"

Shen Qingye seemed somewhat downcast and glanced at Yun Lih in haste, his eyelids drooping as he said, "I’m going back to Aida State."
