Seconds later, He Chen sat on a barstool, one foot tapping the ground, toasting with a glass of Western liquor to Yin Mo, "The servant at the racecourse, is it Yun Lih?"
Yin Mo raised her head, her eyes harboring caution, "What do you mean?"
"Tsk." He Chen took a light sip and then, with a flick of his tongue, patted Yin Mo’s cheek, "No wonder you’ve been of little use for so long, baby, your acting is too poor."
Yin Mo stepped back, turning her face away, and said evenly, "I don’t understand what you’re talking about."
He Chen scoffed sarcastically and pulled out his phone from his pants pocket, directly dialing Li Qiao.
After three rings, the call was picked up.
He Chen eyed Yin Mo as he switched on the speakerphone, his expression arrogantly cordial, "Sister-in-law, not asleep yet?"
"Looking for her for something?" A magnetic, rich male baritone sounded nearby the little bar.
Yin Mo cast a gloomy glance at He Chen, a sneer dangling from her lips.
He Chen licked his teeth and, knitting his brows, demanded, "There’s something, hand her the phone."
After a rustling sound, Li Qiao spoke while drying her hair, "Brother Chen?"
Hearing Li Qiao’s voice, He Chen picked up his glass and sipped lightly, but through the rim of the glass, his narrow and profound eyes were sizing up Yin Mo.
"Brother Chen?" Li Qiao waited a few seconds without hearing a response, then called out again, her tone a bit impatient.
Her hair wasn’t even dry yet.
Seeing this, He Chen tapped his finger against the glass, his gaze fixed on the complicated-looking Yin Mo, and mouthed into the phone, "Baby, it’s a rare opportunity."
Li Qiao caught on to this term of endearment and glanced up at Shang Yu, quite surprised.
Where had he gotten this baby from?
The next second, a calm yet slightly tense voice came through, "Qiaoqiao..."
Li Qiao immediately halted her actions, "Second Sister?"

"He’s addicted." Li Qiao interrupted her, her tone indifferent but with an undertone of unknown ruthlessness.
Yin Mo’s gaze froze, her mouth half-open in disbelief, "How could that be? What kind of drug?"
She had seen Yun Lih at the estate before and worried about arousing Xiao Yehui’s suspicion, had never dared to have too much contact with him.
They always communicated covertly, under the guise of reprimands.
He was supposed to be hiding well, how could he possibly be drugged?
Quickly, Li Qiao laid out the whole story, and Yin Mo, supporting herself on the bar with one hand, stiffened, her face gradually turning pale, "I didn’t know...
