Gu Yao fell silent; he knew all too well that for the young master to regain his status would be harder than reaching the heavens.
It might even cost him his life the moment he revealed himself.
Therefore, the young master had no choice but to live as a mountain man here.
However, he just couldn’t accept that the coarse and ugly Yang Dani was suitable for the young master.
“Start the fire.” The Feng Family said nothing more but instead pulled out four eggs from the bamboo basket to cook together.
“Her family has quite a few brothers and sisters, how could two eggs be enough?”

“Compared to you giving me the courage to start living again, this bit of help is really nothing…” As he spoke, he pulled out a handkerchief from his chest and offered it, “Wipe yourself.”
“No need.” Yang Ruxin waved her hand dismissively.
She hadn’t bathed in many days and felt dirty herself.
She had washed her face without cleanser or soap, so it probably wasn’t that clean, but seeing that his handkerchief was white, how could she dare to use it?
“It’s just a handkerchief.
If it gets dirty, we can wash it,” Gu Qingheng insisted, stretching out his hand.
“Then I won’t be polite.” Seeing his earnest offer, Yang Ruxin quickly took it, thinking she should get a handkerchief or something similar in her area when she had the chance.
But when she took the handkerchief from her face, she blushed at the sight.
The white handkerchief had turned grey and she felt too embarrassed to give it back, “I’ll wash it and return it to you later.”
“You don’t have to be polite with me,” Gu Qingheng said with a smile, but did not insist on getting it back.
“Also, my name is Gu Qingheng, you can call me by my name.”
Yang Ruxin paused for a moment.
“In the future, you can call me by my name, or Brother Qingheng if you like…” Gu Qingheng patiently repeated.
“Oh.” It only then dawned on Yang Ruxin that in the two times she had seen him, she had referred to him as the blind and limping man—a rather inappropriate form of address.
She nodded immediately, “Then I’ll call you Gu Qingheng from now on.” She left out calling him ‘brother’, as she felt goosebumps at the thought of it, being of age herself.
Gu Qingheng felt a twinge of disappointment inside.
He actually hoped she would use a more intimate form, like dropping the surname and just calling him Qingheng.
“Oh, my full name is Yang Ruxin, I chose it myself.
The ‘Ruxin’ from ‘Ruxin thriving’,” Yang Ruxin mentioned, thinking it fair to return the courtesy, and also because she truly felt uncomfortable with being called Dani.
After all, she was not the real Yang Dani.
