The game has become a real alternate world Chapter 64

[Experience: 50/2000]

As the effect of "Plague Gaze" dissipated, all the dwarves climbed up from the ground, though some still bore the traces of the plague on their faces.

The dwarves gathered around Kana, even lifting him up in celebration.

Someone suddenly gave Kana a new title, and all the dwarves started calling him by this new name.

"Alright, please put me down, I feel like I’m going to come apart!" Kana couldn’t help but shout.

After all, he was hit by a skill similar to "Shared Fate", and although he didn’t die with the enemy, his status wasn’t much better.

Plus the previous weakness plague buffs that needed to fade slowly, together, it still took a toll on his data-driven body.

The dwarves, though excited, didn’t lose their senses and gently put Kana down.

Excitedly gathering around.

"His thighs aren’t even as thick as my arm."

"Right, he looks too skinny."

"But he’s indeed taller than us, maybe that’s why?"

"You’re such a fool, he’s human, of course he’s taller than us!"

The dwarves surrounded Kana, pinching here and there, curious about how Kana was different from them, and how he could be so powerful.

Facing such a blasphemous monster, amid such immense pressure, he still fought so valiantly.

A true representative of a warrior among dwarves.

"Enough, is this how you treat a warrior of the mountains?"

Upon hearing this, the excited dwarves finally quieted down and moved aside.

Lurik leaned on his warhammer, walking over slowly. Clearly, he wasn’t feeling too well after being a primary target.

Eric wanted to lend him a hand, but Lurik brushed him off, scolding, "Damn it, I’m not so old that I can’t walk."

To this, Eric could only shrug helplessly, at the stubborn old man.

Lurik approached Kana, shaking his hand solemnly.

"Thank you, no words can express my gratitude toward you."

"You are a true warrior, a real one. Greater than anyone on the battlefield, you will eventually become a hero!"

Lurik’s words were extremely solemn.

Only he, who was heavily suppressed by the Evil God’s attention, could truly feel the pressure Kana bore.

He couldn’t imagine how Kana fought under such immense pressure.

How resilient his soul must be.

For the first time, Lurik felt admiration for a short-lived species.

Seeing the dwarf wanting to say more, Kana quickly stopped him; these dwarves were a bit overzealous.

"We’re still on the battlefield; these bodies will cause a plague. Shouldn’t we deal with them first?"

"You’re right, I got too excited." Lurik nodded.

Then he began to direct the scene, getting all the dwarves to start clearing it, including the goblin corpses outside and various foul pus spills.

Although the power of the plague was no longer there, the foul smell lingered.

Such tasks, naturally, were not for Kana and the others to handle.

Kana walked toward Alyris.

Alyris stood there, and upon seeing Kana emerge, quickly went to meet him, holding Kana’s hand, her eyes fixed intently on him.

She was urgently checking him up and down.

"I’m okay, Alyris." At this moment, the benefit of a data-driven body showed.

As long as the health bar isn’t empty, you won’t die and can even move lively. No matter how severe the injuries, they will slowly heal.

"But you, you’re very weak, you need a good rest." Kana held Alyris’s hand, looking at the deep wound in her right palm.

Her whole arm and complexion turned pale.

The fresh blood surrounding the spherical puppet just now didn’t belong to Kana, but came from Alyris.

Alyris didn’t have a data-driven body; the blood loss severely affected her constitution.

Now, Alyris’s lips were a bit blackened.

"I’m sorry, I’m sorry, my prince."

Alyris said as she knelt half-down, lowering her head, her golden hair cascading down.

"I don’t deserve, I don’t deserve to be your Guardian Knight. I couldn’t protect you, not even a little."

Her fists clenched and then relaxed helplessly.

As a Guardian Knight, she couldn’t even stand by Kana during his battles, let alone protect him.

Kana was growing too fast, leaving Alyris with a deep sense of powerlessness.

She momentarily struggled to find her purpose.

Having just completed her training to become an official knight not long ago, a talented young lady.

Now plunged into self-doubt.

Kana squatted, reached out to pat Alyris’s head, and tidied her messy hair.

His fingers brushed past her ear, swiped across her cheek, and lifted her chin, making Alyris face him.

Looking at Alyris’s innocent and lovely pale face.

He wiped her tears and helped her up.

Without much comfort, he softly said in her ear.

"I need you, need you by my side."

The voice was strong and powerful, expressing his emotions.

Alyris stretched her hand and placed it on the back of Kana’s hand, her head leaning closer to Kana’s hand.

Kana raised his hand, gently embracing her.

Alyris leaned into Kana’s arms, resting her head against his chest.

Only then did Alyris realize something wasn’t right; the atmosphere felt off.

She was a bit confused, but the natural warmth quickly crept up her face.

A girl’s instinctive sense of shyness made her want to pull away, but she didn’t have the heart to; she wanted, wanted to linger a bit longer.

They stood quietly, just like that.

Kana held Alyris, his eyes fixed on Bobo and George behind her.

What’s with these two? Really insensitive.

Bobo, who had been watching Kana, finally snapped out of it, meeting Kana’s gaze, and quickly turned around, looking at the dazed George behind her.

She stepped on his foot.

But her strength wasn’t enough, it only brought George back to his senses.

"How long are you going to watch? Didn’t you see Kana telling us to leave?"

"Oh, oh..." George snapped out of it, turned around quickly, but didn’t know where to go momentarily.

Seeing Bobo going out, he quickly followed.

Following behind Bobo, he could hear her mumbling to herself.

"Truly worthy of being a prince."

George didn’t understand these things but thought Kana was indeed impressive.

In various meanings of impressive.

Then he couldn’t help but touch the pustules on his face, after all, neither of them had constitution immunity just now.

He couldn’t help but worry, hoping he wouldn’t turn into such a monster, that would be too disgusting.

Cleaning up the surroundings of the watchtower took them quite some time, as the goblin corpses outside were too numerous.

They could only pile them up and burn them directly.

As for the pus-laden corpses around the watchtower, it was even more troublesome to clean up, and they spent a lot of effort to finally clear them away, but the air around still lingered with a faint bad smell, hard to dissipate for a while.

After thoroughly cleaning their bodies, removing the grime and stench from them.

It was already deep into the night.
