The game has become a real alternate world Chapter 70

"If, if you need any help from us, please call out directly. I believe that both I and the warriors here, as well as the dwarves of Gray Furnace Castle, are very willing to help you.

So, if you need any help, please be sure to tell us."

Listening to Lurik’s serious words, Kana nodded: "If I need help, I certainly will."

"That’s good, then I won’t keep you, you still have your hometown to rescue."

Accompanied by Alyris and the others, under the dwarves’ reluctant gazes and waves, they left Flat-top Peak.

With several dwarf warriors and War Sheep, they journeyed all the way back to the previous watchtower.

They arrived at that tunnel entrance.

Only then did the guarding dwarf speak: "We’ll see you off here, warriors."

"Thank you for escorting us."

The few of them crawled back into the tunnel and started descending, quickly heading down the mountain.

Passing the foul-smelling pool, it had not yet been cleaned. But having lost its power, it was starting to dry up.

They hurriedly ran towards the exit.

Though the cave’s stench had decreased significantly, the smell still made one nauseous.

Sprinting all the way, they finally exited the cave.

Gazing at the sky, it was nearly dusk, about to become night.

"Let’s quicken our pace, it’s getting dark, and we need to return to the camp before nightfall."

Alyris and the others nodded, traversing through the woods.

At this time, the three of them had slightly different appearances.

Alyris was holding a brand-new Knight’s Sword.

Her previous blade hadn’t been datafied; she had brought it all the way from Lake City.

In just over half a month, after multiple battles, it was already full of nicks.

The dwarves simply replaced it for Alyris with one of their famously well-forged weapons.

Together with Kana and their selfless help, these weapons were undoubtedly top-notch.

Alyris was extremely satisfied with this sword.

George had also replaced his bow with a Strong Bow, with a One-Handed Crossbow and a Short Sword at his waist.

These were all gifts from the dwarves.

As for Bobo, she casually took a Dagger.

After all, she used tricks.

Just shortly after nightfall, they saw the campfires from afar.

However, before they approached the camp, they were spotted by the people in the watchtower.

"Don’t get excited, it’s me!"

Kana shouted loudly. Hearing this familiar voice, the soldiers surrounded them with torches. Once they confirmed it was Kana, they quickly ushered him into the camp.

Upon entering the camp, they immediately saw Blake and his companions, who had arrived unknown to them.

Kana merely nodded in recognition and turned to the few dwarves, saying: "Thank you for your help, the watchtower issue has been resolved, and those sick children are now starting to recover."

"Really? That’s wonderful!" the dwarf captain exclaimed joyfully.

"Can we go back now?" a dwarf asked, seemingly anxious.

Perhaps he had a relative who was one of the sick dwarves.

Kana nodded: "Of course, thank you once again for your help."

The dwarves nodded, and in a flurry, they left the camp under the cover of night. For dwarves, the night wasn’t as dangerous, as they had some level of night vision.

Moreover, Kana and the others had just returned, indicating there weren’t many dangers on the road.

Watching the dwarves leave, Kana turned to look at Blake and his companions.

"Why have you come here?"

Without waiting for a response, Kana led them back to the central main tent.

He also called in two shipwrights.

Blake spoke first: "The frontline battle is not going well, the passage from Gray Mountain Fortress to Cohen has been cut off by the Blood Race.

If we continue to hold Lake City, we are likely to be surrounded, so the Count has already begun to withdraw the troops in this direction.

They are expected to arrive in Riverbend Town around midnight tomorrow or the morning after."

Upon hearing this information,

everyone’s expressions, except for Kana, turned somewhat grim. Bobo also furrowed her brows; though she didn’t quite understand the issue, she now knew of Kana’s capabilities.

Even Kana had been preparing for this crisis, which spoke volumes about how formidable the Blood Race forces must be.

Things were indeed as Kana had anticipated.

The tent grew quiet, and everyone looked at Kana.

Yet Kana was reminiscing about the past.

Recalling the very first time he encountered this game.

At that time, he was fortunate enough to be selected for a three-day beta test.

And those three days of beta testing were precisely the Battle of Riverbend Town.

Also known as the Blood Cry Battle.

Though it had been a long time since he recalled, Kana felt he could never forget it in his lifetime.

During the three-day test, they acted as reserve soldiers in Riverbend Town.

The first day was about familiarizing with the game mechanics, doing some errands in the town, mostly helping deliver some logistics supplies.

On the second day, the Count’s troops returned to the town, and their tasks began to involve helping soldiers, transporting the wounded and escorting supplies.

On the third day, the Blood Race’s vanguard reached the town’s outskirts, waging a fierce battle. The Count’s forces suffered a costly victory, barely holding off the vanguard.

They then began leading the remaining soldiers and townsfolk in a retreat, fleeing towards Cohen through the dangerous wilderness east of Gray Mountain.

Time was tight, with at most three days remaining.
