Both of them were enraged as they cursed the fellow responsible for this unlucky accident, while Bai Yunxian and Mo Ling Yuan stood aside to see the drama from sidelines and did nothing.

A dragging voice was heard as a guy jumped down in front of them with swift motions, landing gracefully as he bent his back and neck to stretch leisurely.
Even though he was in a simple, green attire that made him look normal, Bai Yunxian’s keen eyes didn’t miss the high quality silk fabric used to make the robe on the guy.
Such high quality silk can only be found in noble and aristocracy, which meant this guy wasn’t as simple as he appeared to be at all!
The guy’s eyes swept back and forth, scanning the people in the team from back to front, only to stop on Bai Yunxian for a brief moment before he looked away.
"I didn’t know there would be a bunch of people gathering under this tree, it’s far away from the arena, why did you guys come here? To do something shady or what?" The guy seemed to be suspicious towards them as he frowned, staring at the three fools who exchanged glances between each other, not sure what to say.
"O, of course not! Since we need to form a team, I was looking for people to join our team and let everyone gather here, to stay away from the crowd of course!" Brother Li spoke up frantically in a moment of urgency.
They can’t let go of the two rich fishes they caught by luck! No way! Not because of some stupid rich brats nonsense!
The two rich fishes here definitely meant Bai Yunxian and Mo Ling Yuan, though they didn’t know both of their real identity, they could still identify that these two were some noble young lords!
"Besides, isn’t the atmosphere here cool and nice? It would be a waste to let it go and stay under the scorching sun up in the sky, isn’t it?" The other two also turned into busybodies, defending their leader and convincing the sharp and bratty guy who seemed to be suspicious of them.
"This brother here seemed to have taken us wrongly. We don’t have any shady business or such! We were looking for teammates!"
If this guy also joined them, they could perhaps rob an entire country!

"Relax, this brother. Those brothers didn’t mean any harm to you, they only need people to form a group, so they are anxious and misspoke, you shouldn’t press them too much."
The guy turned his head sideways, only to see Bai Yunxian who had a slightly polite smile plastered on his face. Even if others couldn’t recognise, the guy was able to see through the difference in an instance.
Even if Bai Yunxian was smiling, he could feel the hostility and stubbornness hidden in his dry smile.
It was a fake, cold and cruel smile he showed to the people he hated, or the people who he saw as his enemy.
In normal circumstances, Bai Yunxian wouldn’t dare to be so bold and speak up to someone like this.
So why? What was the difference?
Even Mo Ling Yuan was astonished when he saw Bai Yunxian leave his place and willingly get involved in a fight he is not meant for, he definitely used to avoid such circumstances in the past. So what’s changed?

He never fought or looked at their faces, no matter what they did to him. Not even when they broke him to pieces and recreated him to their liking, however they wanted.

"...!" Mo Ling Yuan grabbed and pressed his mouth with both hands, trying his best to hide the broad smile that came out of excitement, though he couldn’t hide his heated gaze directed towards Bai Yunxian.
Bai Yunxian gave off a fake, but brilliant and gentle smile, separating the guy from Brother Li. The smile he gave off was that of a perfectionist, a trained fake, business smile as he looked at the guy in front of him.
After all, it was what Bai Yunxian was the best at doing, taking on the role of a perfect gentleman has always been his role.
