One or two if he stretched it, but that was about it. So, with the money now divided, and nightfall having arrived, the moon high in the sky, they were roughly a day away from Konoha.
So, Tsunade, deciding to be smart, told them to camp. They started a fire, but kept it low to the ground. Some Earth jutsu may have been used—the flames were barely visible, much less the smoke. This was good enough.
"Seijuro, you're taking first watch. Nawaki, second. Mikoto, third."
Hm, the way she set it up seemed simple enough. Since Seijuro was the sensor, she gave him first watch. Plus, he was probably the strongest out of the three Genin, so he needed to be well rested. First watch meant he would get roughly five hours of uninterrupted sleep once he was done—enough to move on.
He nodded his head, following her orders. Sitting on a nearby trunk and taking out his notebook, he began to doodle, all while sensing everything around him, memorizing where each creature was—every ant, every bird—just in case.
As much as Seijuro liked using the Transformation Jutsu and Genjutsu, he wouldn't like it if they were used against him. So as the responsible adult that he was—he was a child, don't mind it—
Seijuro began to write down all he knew about the Land of Waterfall. He had decided: the Seven-Tails should be pretty simple to capture.

The Land of Waterfall shared a border with Konoha and the Land of Earth. If he got stationed between the Earth and Konoha sides, this could be his chance to steal it.
Hm. He began doodling a little diagram of seals that he knew. A Tailed Beast was made fully of chakra, so he needed to have a stable seal to contain it. Speaking of which, Seijuro took out a small vial—a small vial of red liquid. It was blood. Blood from Nawaki, to be more exact. He never forgot his goal of fixing his broken physique.
He would have to study it. Luckily, he had some material for that back at home, which Yui only thought he was using to see how jutsu reacted to each other, alongside creating some light venom. Yes, that was the cover. The number of covers he had in place made it seem like he was a master manipulator.
Someone who could not be matched. Someone who had reached the pinnacle of strength. His schemes knew no bounds. He didn't plan to human experiment, though...
He sighed a bit. His morals were getting a bit too loose, as if reverting back to something that felt more like him. As if he wanted to find the truth of the world. He doodled a bit in his book, designing a custom-made seal. Not a seal to seal Tailed Beasts—fuck no—he wouldn't do that in public. But just a simple seal to store chakra for later use.
Some stuff like that. He was never too sure with Tsunade around, so that was the seal he was going to have on for now. Plus, having his Genjutsu up 24/7 was quite draining, so he'd rather save it. Maybe learn some Medical Ninjutsu from Tsunade—he'd have a decent reason for knowing so much and so on. Yeah, this could work. This could 100% work.
Getting stronger was never really a problem. So, get stronger and have Tsunade teach him Medical Ninjutsu—not her fighting style; they weren't that close yet... but if she did want to teach it to him, he would learn it eagerly from her. After all, she was an elite Jounin-tier fighter. She could, in fact, beat his ass in a head-on fight. He had no means of actually killing her that wouldn't risk himself almost dying or getting caught in the crossfire.
Hm. Konoha truly possessed monsters.
