Seijuro noticed how they received less and less missions—more like Tsunade was there less and less. War had started, and their C-rank missions were getting harder. Most of them involved killing someone.
They even once did a B-rank. Mind you, they were Genin. The Chunin Exams were something in his mind; he wondered whether to take it or not every single day of his life.
Probably should. The next Chunin Exam was around the corner, and he was bound to find people he knew there. Apparently, Minato would be participating in it.
Seijuro sighed to himself a bit.
Before taking it, he had shit to do.
Inside the Konoha Hospital, Seijuro would find Tsunade. Getting close to the woman, he made sure it was her free time—as in, she wasn't working—when he approached.
"Spill it, what do you want?" she would say, looking at him. She had noticed him a while ago but didn't mention it. Now that she was free, she could hear him out.
"Sensei, I need your help with a jutsu."
Tsunade's brow would furrow—Seijuro, the prodigy of the Kurama.
The same guy who could make a plan on the fly. Hm. Heh. Oh well. She might as well help. Not like she had done anything Sensei-like since she had them. Apart from Nawaki, she doesn't think she taught them any jutsu.

Seijuro would take out a kunai.

Her brow would furrow at that. Here she thought he would pick something else, but really—the Mystical Palm Jutsu?
"My reserves are not the highest. Learning an A-rank jutsu—while it would give me more to use in combat—I would only be able to use it a couple of times before my tank empties out. So rather than taking that option, medical ninjutsu was the best choice. Even Jounin can die to a small {poisoned} cut if not properly treated. I wish to learn how to treat myself."
She would look at him. Oh, so he didn't see medical ninjutsu as the way of the cowards. How fun.
"Medical ninjutsu is not for the weak of heart. So if you know you're going to quit—scram," she would say, looking at him. He didn't back down.
"I'll be the judge of that."
She would walk around a bit before taking like 60 books off the shelf and handing them to him. Each book weighed about 10 pounds... the fuck?
