The Genjutsu Devil of Konoha Chapter 7

After 10 minutes... he was done. He had answered all 45 questions. They were all pretty easy, if he said so himself. Considering there were like 5 extra credit questions, he took them too, so his score should be perfect.

Something like a 50 out of 45.

He didn't mind it at all. He wanted to set a record—the more he shined, the more access he'd have to the library. And it was good to catch the Hokage's eye.

Just in case someone tried to snatch him or something.

He was done. He could tell that people were still struggling. Hm, he couldn't get up now. He needed to wait a bit longer.

He had no reason to get up yet, so he leaned back in his seat and started glancing around the room, playing the whole still-deep-in-thought role. Real method acting.

Most of the clan kids? Holding up just fine. Some Uchiha girl in the back was scribbling like her Sharingan would pop out if she tried any harder. The Hyuga kid three seats down was as stiff as his Byakugan family tree. Seijuro gave him a tiny head tilt. Respect. They were trying.

Then there was Nawaki.

Poor guy looked like he was going twelve rounds with the paper. Sitting right next to Seijuro, forehead beading with existential regret.

Nawaki peeked over. Froze.

Seijuro's paper—done.

His eyes went wide. "Wait... huh?! Already?!"

Caught red-handed in 4K Ultra Chakra Definition. But instead of calling him out or acting smug, Seijuro just looked at him... and smiled.

Nawaki was stunned. No snark? No guilt trip? No threats of sibling wrath via Tsunade? Just that damn Kurama smile?

He hesitated... then started copying a few things. Sparingly. Carefully. Not everything—just enough to not totally drown.

Yes, he was smarter than people gave him credit for.

Ten more minutes passed.

Paper in hand. Walked to the front. The Chunin instructor raised an eyebrow.

"Mm-hm." Seijuro nodded with the politeness of someone who just ended a war with a handshake.

The instructor took the paper, clearly judging him a bit. "...Alright."

Seijuro bowed his head lightly and left the room like a damn noble. Nawaki was still frozen in place, paper halfway filled, questioning every decision that led to this moment.

And then, fate dropped a bone.

A scrap of paper—answers on it. Not Seijuro-level polished, but it matched Nawaki's style. Simple, sharp, full of that scrappy underdog energy. The man glanced around.

"Bless whoever this belongs to. May your rice always be fluffy," he muttered, copying like his life depended on it—because it did.

After leaving the room, and maybe leaving a minor Genjutsu on the clock, he went to the bathroom, created a clone, placed an illusion over it, and had it walk away from the bathroom, while he went to the school library.

Unseen by anyone, even if he was walking in broad daylight. No one saw him. No one sensed him... the Kurama clan bloodline was working its magic.

It was Seijuro's free pass into nerd paradise.

He pulled out his chakra paper.

Time for the elemental test.

He pressed his chakra into it—

The paper had split, burned, crinkled, dampened, and crumbled—all at once.

He stared for a moment. "Well... that's not supposed to happen."

He had an affinity for all five chakra natures.

No wonder everything came so damn easy.

"...This might prove to be a hassle," he muttered, pocketing the remnants with a smirk.

So, he didn't have to worry about which element to study... though, which element would he show to the world though?

Probably Fire and Earth. Maybe some Water.

After his 10 minutes were up, he had long left the library. No one even sensed him, as if he didn't exist to begin with.

He gazed at the kids leaving the exam center. Some looked prideful, while others looked like fate had lubed up their cheeks.

Seijuro leaned against the wall, arms crossed, sizing them up.

Average. This update is available on novel⁂fire.net

Cute girl, scary chakra—noted.

His real competition was like someone named Kaito and maybe Mikoto.

Oh well, no one saw through his illusion. He was back.

Oh well, time to get ready for the actual test. Hm, let him review his stats real quick.

Hand-to-Hand Combat – D Tier. So around academy student level, roughly second year-ish. So above basically 90% of the civilian students present today.

Genjutsu – SS Tier... His Kekkei Genkai worked wonders. Without his Kekkei Genkai though, his illusions would be like B or C tier. Good, but not as good as he would want them to be.

Chakra – D+ Tier. He had chakra, just not enough. He needed more.

Stamina – D Tier. He had like civilian-tier stamina. On the higher side, but still nothing too strong.

Shuriken and Kunai Throwing – C+ Tier. It was actually one of his strong points. He could do well with this.

Jutsu – E+ Tier. If he compared himself to other clan kids, he didn't have much—apart from the academy three, which he was sure most clan kids worth their stuff had already mastered. They probably had decent techniques to help them, like the Fireball Jutsu.
