In a business suite of a hotel, Jin Xiangdong had just ended the call with Lu Jia’er and put the mobile phone on the coffee table.
Jin Shengping who still wore a cervical collar glanced at him and asked casually, “How are you?”
Hearing his words, Jin Xiangdong looked him in the eyes. “Very well!”

Seeing this, Jin Xiangdong submitted his complaint. “Dad, no wonder I feel as though Ike is your real grandson!”
“Haven’t you said that Ike is like your son? In that case it is my grandson!” Jin Shengping joked.
Jin Xiangdong laughed. “Well, with Ike, you don’t want your son!”
After Jin Shengping had heard these words, his eyes gleamed with sadness that instantly went away. He had two excellent children but the married older daughter was a Dink 1 . Therefore, although he had almost reached seventy, he had no grandchildren.
“Don’t be jealous. You are not as cute as Ike.” Jin Shengping said.
Jin Xiangdong was not jealous he was just joking with Jin Shengping. “Well, I’ll just ask Xiao Dong to go home and pick up Ike to accompany you!”
Jin Shengping cast a glance at Jin Xiangdong. “Let’s play chess while Ike is away!”
Seeing that Jin Shengping looked reluctant, Jin Xiangdong couldn’t help but smile. “Please go easy on me, Father!”
However, Jin Shengping replied, “There is no father and son in a game of chess!”
Jin Shengping’s comment might be right but Jin Xiangdong was good at playing chess. The son had won the game of chess from an inferior start.
“You must have let me win, Father!” Jin Xiangdong looked modest.
His remarks made Jin Shengping unhappy. “You must have learned a lot from Ike!”
Jin Xiangdong agreed with a smile, “Ike is right. The pupil surpasses the master!”
What his son had said made Jin Shengping speechless and sigh. “Alright! Making progress is good! But don’t be puffed up with pride!”
Jin Xiangdong understood Jin Shengping’s pun. “I won’t! I’ve borne in mind our family precepts!”
