AT THE ALLIED PHONE COMPANIES' MEETING
"Hahaha, now that we've finished reverse engineering the phones and even made some changes, so others won't recognize the foundation was copied, we're back on business!" One of the CEO's said with a very happy mood as he laughed out loud.
"Hahaha." some other CEOs also laughed along with that previous CEO, while some also agreed loudly with joy saying "We're finally going to at least rival this giant enemy of ours."
As they were laughing in joy, one of the most powerful CEOs whose company was in the United States said with a cold tone. "From now on never admit or confess that we have reverse engineered the phones of that company in front of anyone! Not even your closest family or friends, don't even mention that word here, I'm talking to all of you! understand?"
Hearing him talk like that, as the other CEOs were also quite powerful, they were not satisfied with the way that CEO talked, but as he was the one who had suggested them to reverse engineer the phones and as he was the person who had suggested the whole plan to equal the scales, they still shallowly nodded their heads, though at heart they were still unsatisfied with the way that CEO talked.
Seeing the atmosphere change to a little gloomy, a CEO from Korea said "Everyone, don't be like this, Mr. X is saying that all because of your own sake, in our country things like this happens all the time as even blood brothers betray each other for inheriting the company and use the slightest of weaknesses they find, we even make K-dramas about this! and revealings like this happen a lot, because that person has talked about his or her weakness to one of the most trusted people beside him, so please trust no one as all of us are together in this and please... no hard feelings."
Hearing this the atmosphere really improved a lot as they started agreeing with no hard feelings whatsoever.
"Okay then everyone, now that we are done with our plan to equal the scales, there are lots of doubts toward us, and most people are saying we have copied that company's work, now we have to provide everyone with a logical explanation that everyone would believe, and then turn their fingers towards that company. Now, is there anyone with a good plan?" The CEO of the biggest phone company from Finland said, his company was the company which was selling the most phones around the world before The Virus Industries had appeared.
Hearing this everyone started thinking as silence became dominant inside the conference room, where the meeting was being held at.
Half an hour later, finally, the CEO from Japan talked, breaking the silence, "I have a plan and I think this is the most logical plan we can think of..."
Everyone's attention was drawn to Japan's CEO hearing him talk.
Then US Company's CEO which had suggested the reverse engineering plan said "What is it? Please do tell us. If it's logical enough and something that people would believe, we would use it if everyone agrees."
That CEO from Japan started talking hearing the US major companies words "Well... first let's say the major companies sitting here were in a cooperating relationship since decades ago in secret. Of course, we will say those newer major phone companies which didn't exist at the time had joined us after that, some around ten years ago, while some joined us later."
"And then? Where are you going with this?" one of the less patient CEO's said, this CEO's phone company was smaller than other major companies.
Hearing this impatient CEO interrupting the Japanese CEO, most of the other CEOs couldn't stop thinking 'Impatience, a quality no CEO should have or it might lead to the destruction of the company. And it's probably the reason why this company hasn't become as powerful as us even though they had good technology.'
"Please don't interrupt me while I'm talking." Hearing somebody jump to the middle of his words the Japanese CEO stared at that CEO who had interrupted him with a chilly look in his eyes, as he said with a cold tone.
Seeing the chilly look in the Japanese CEO's eyes, that CEO who had interrupted the Japanese was a little afraid inside but as he had been a CEO for some time now, he was good at hiding his feelings. Even though other CEOs were good at hiding their feelings or sensing what others felt, still, no one felt his fear except perhaps one or two of the CEOs.
After thinking no one had felt his fear, he sighed in relief as he would be like a joke if others felt his fear.
Then with a normal tone like he didn't care the least about how the other person was looking at him, and as though he hadn't felt his cold tone at all he said "Oh, please continue."
After remembering that CEO inside his heart, who didn't even apologize, the Japanese continued "Okay, as I was saying, first we say we had an alliance since a long time ago. Second, we will say we used to share information about how advanced our technology was inside the alliance since then. Third, the information we shared among each other was about the speed by which our technologies were progressing. Fourth, we will say after seeing how fast our technology was progressing, so fast that even before releasing the next model of our phone we were two models ahead of the phone we were going to release, and like that in the long run, we became too advanced to the phones that people see in the market."
He continued. "And finally, we will say as we are tradespeople and merchants and even more so economists, our alliance was just looking for profit over releasing more advanced technology to the world, so in our alliance we all had decided not to release our more advanced or too advanced phones to the market before gaining the profits of the previous models, and just like that our alliance decided to slow things down and release the next models of the phones after we had made enough profit from the previous models."
