Commanded Agnes as she took charge of the team, aiming to coordinate their efforts against the Ghouls, as she seems to be the only one knowledgeable about them, practically she controls the team, Lucas just heads it.
Without hesitation, those she had assigned tasks to swiftly moved to carry out her orders, while the remaining members awaited further instructions.
Kelvin, the Gordons twins Ava and Adam, positioned themselves in a triangular formation around the group, as they casted the earth wall spell while trying their best to synchronizing their casting speed and mana in order to get a combine spell.
As they slammed their hands onto the ground, towering Earth walls began to rise, as they tried to meet Agnes's specifications.
Meanwhile, Agnes erected a stone pillar high above the Earth walls to observe the Ghouls' movements.
As Knight ventured out of formation to lure the Ghouls away, but only about thirty of them had decided to pursue after him, surprising him with their speed and agility.
Realizing he was nearly surrounded by Tier 2 Ghouls – who were a lot faster and more formidable than the first type of Ghouls he had slay, Knight swiftly shifted gears, opting to confront them rather than continue fleeing.

Expecting the attack to hit, Knight was surprised to see the Tier 2 Ghouls dodging and performing acrobatic moves, as they all found a way to escape the attack, allowing the beam of light to go far enough to kill a group of Tier 1 Ghouls at their backs trailing behind them in the chase .
"Shit!" Knight muttered as the Ghouls growled and continued to chase him.
"Don't dilly-dally and come back here!, I told you to lead them away, not waste Mana, I need my assassin mage, and only a foolish assassin meets their opponent head-on," Agnes scolded, her voice echoing from atop the stone pillar where she stood observing his actions.
"That's Alec's line. If you're going to lecture me, at least get yours, right?!" Knight retorted with a slight smile, recalling why Alec always had him around for transportation.

Knight wasted no time, his priority being to region the team rather than remain in the midst of the Ghouls and taking hits.

His Sinking Shadows spell had a limited range, only effective for a distance and he had to be seeing it, .
The spell itself requires a targeted shadow to emerge from, which didn't necessarily have to be that of a living being, Knight could use other shades of shadows as his exit point.
Just that as the area had less shadow, Knight had to spend more mana, especially when targeting greater distances, these two variables is what have caused him to be tired at the moment, After fulfilling his baiting duties for Agnes, he was left drained.

"Girl, let me catch my breath before you use me again, I can't always be facing life-threatening situations just because one of my affinity is shadow element," Knight asserted.
"That's what I pay you for!" Agnes responded.
"You don't pay me, we're family," Knight retorted making Agnes fell silent and ponder.
"Incoming attack, prepare yourselves, We're an eleven-man team facing a horde of Ghouls, let's hope they stick to the 1-meter passage, as we prepared for them instead of trying to climb the earth walls and acting like smart creatures," Agnes explained.
"Knight, Lucas, and I will be the main attackers at the three passage's entrance, Two Mages each will join us to defend against the Ghouls," she continued.
"Lucas will rescue anyone in danger or handle smart Ghouls attempting to climb, that's his joy, your job is protection," Agnes assigned roles.
"Now, for the last Mage remaining, you will be our backup. Substitute for the first Mage low on mana, stamina, or injured. They'll need to recover quickly to fill in for the next weary team member," Agnes explained to the group coldly.
"I know you've stocked up on healing potions and other resources, but it's crucial and not the time to hoard them now, A small mistake could mean someone losing their life today," Agnes warned, just as a loud growl interrupted her speech.
All they turned too late to react to the approaching danger.
Suddenly, a powerful surge of Sword Qi swept past them, leaving a massive sword mark on the ground and five Tier 2 Ghouls sliced in half.
What stunned them was that the swordsman hadn't even drawn his blade; with a mere shake, he unleashed the deadly attack.
"We haven't finished discussing our plans, and I'm already started having you guys!" Lucas joked with a smile.
"It definitely helps having a Tier 4 among us," Knight remarked. He readied himself alongside two other mages as they prepared to face the Ghouls struggling to breach the narrow 1-meter passage.
Their faces were grim, ready to confront the impending horde of Ghouls, showing no sign of cracking under the pressure.
