With the Alpha Shadow Wolf defeated, the remaining wolves scattered, fleeing for their lives, as Alec made his way toward his Golems, a series of heavy thuds caught his attention.
He wasn't the only one to notice; his golems also turned, and before them stood three colossal demonic beasts bearing a slight resemblance to dragons, they have been drawn there due to the scent of blood and battle noises.
Alec swiftly activated his inspect skill to assess the creatures before him.

Confronted with their status, Alec realized that victory against even one of these beasts at his present state was unlikely, let alone all three of them.
Their dual elemental affinities and Mid Tier 5 classification suggested that their power might be on par with average Mid Tier 6 mages in the real world.
He had thought the Alpha Shadow Wolf was a formidable challenge, but the presence of these three Golden Drakes exuding such a menacing aura made him recognize his naivety regarding the second level.
Despite the fact that he had barely ventured beyond the Shadow Wolves' hunting grounds, Alec extended his hands, projecting his bloodlust towards his two weapons—the Changdao and the Katana—lying on the ground.
The weapons were swiftly enveloped in red tentacles and retracted into his grasp, without his transformation form, Alec's only recourse was to engage in direct combat with his weapons.
Aware that the odds were against him, Alec was nonetheless unwilling to retreat without a struggle.
However, it seemed his concerns were premature, as the Golden Drakes merely observed him, but as soon as he gripped his weapons, the atmosphere shifted, and Alec sensed the accumulation of foreign elemental particles converging around the three Drakes.
"Attack! Don't let them do whatever they're planning!" Alec commanded, charging towards the three Golden Drakes.
He had yelled for the benefit of the other golems, which were closer to the drakes than he was, but they were still advancing when the drakes opened their mouths.
With a thunderous roar, the Golden Drakes unleashed their breath attack, as a cone of golden flames erupted, unleashing a dazzling and destructive burst of light, that was accompanied by the fearsome roar of the Drakes.
The attack obliterated Alec and his golems, leaving a trail of scorched earth and molten stone in its wake, and Alec fell into darkness once again.
The entire team lay on the ground, panting and bearing various bruises and minor injuries.
The only one still standing was Lucas, propping himself up with his great sword.
With Pale and his set joining the match, it became quite a challenge for Pale to secure victory, and he had no choice but to summon his great sword, knowing he couldn't defeat them all without it.
But despite the overwhelming fatigue from defeating them five times in a row, Lucas persevered, determined to uphold the image of a Tier 5 Mage.
As small blue ice fragments clung to his left hand still weighing on him, and his clothes were burnt, torn, and ravaged by the diverse powers used against him during the spar.
"What a hassle, you should have handled this yourself!" Lucas remarked, observing Alec.
As he noticed that the golems by Alec's side had been recalled, no longer standing guard.
At that moment, Alec rose from his prone position, locking eyes with Lucas.
"I'm completely drained, if you hadn't woken up sooner, you wouldn't have achieved the outcome you desired," Lucas said with a smile, releasing his grip on his swords and allowing his body to fall to the ground with a thud.
"It seems you still managed to wear them out," Alec remarked, surveying the six other Mages sprawled on the ground with Lucas.
Meanwhile, Pale attempted to comprehend Alec's reasoning, puzzled by Alec's decision to send out Agnes to avoid her being beaten, and to have Beatrice tag along, just to ensure the fight wasn't too unfair to Lucas.
However, he couldn't fathom why Alec had chosen to have Endrick accompany them.
While Pale attempted to comprehend Alec's actions, Alec was preoccupied with checking the system notifications he had been neglecting.
