Examining the golem’s new status felt like he was receiving an unexpected gift, Alec had never anticipated that not only would the flaw in the golem’s evolution be corrected, but it would also be pushed to the peak of Tier 4, just a few steps away from entering the Tier 5 rank.
And when it did it would be levelled at the same realm as its master, which would make their combined battle power reach new heights.
Alec was aware of the effort he had put in; he had taken each step himself following the step by step guide, rather than relying on the system to work its magic in a split second like it use to do for every upgrade Alec golems go through.
He understood that he had merely helped recreate the golem’s body, connect and heal the damaged energy passage in its body, all the energy that Arthur had been sharing with it had been locked away due to a clog obstructing the flow of energy in its body after the failed evolution situation.
But after Alec’s intervention which allowed all the channels to connect and the locked energy was allowed to run free through its body it enabled the golem to jump directly two small ranks all the way to the peak of Tier 4.
Alec sighed when he realized that he had not been able to awaken the light element, nevertheless, he was still pleased that the earth element had been activated.
He believed the issues during its first evolutionary process were the real reason the light element had not yet awakened, but he didn’t worry too much; as he felt confident that he could eventually help the golem meet the requirements if it ever reached the level where it ever had to enter the high ranks.
“Your Silver Body Golem now has manipulation over two elements: earth and metal.
I don’t know if it’s fate that aligns it with your own awakened element, but I want you to know that your battle power is going to rise exponentially with this golem by your side,” Alec said as he took a moment to admire the golem’s impressive physique.
The silver body golem was a humanoid type golem, and its molded to the same height as its master.
The most striking feature was its lack of eyes and mouth; its face was blank, and its head had an oval shape that made it appear as if it were wearing a silver mask.
The two black voids where its eyes should have been only intensified Alec’s unease.
Aside from its suspicious mask-like head appearance, the rest of its body was shaped like armour, with both hands resting on a great sword that was inserted and a long blade protruding from its elbow.
Alec wasn’t surprised to see another knight-like golem; having observed the Third Elder’s Golem before, he figured Arthur’s golem might also be following the knight path, which seemed common among iron body golems.
However, he hadn’t expected their appearances to differ so greatly.
The more he stared at the golem, the more he glanced at Arthur, and that was when he realized that while he had helped shape the golem’s humanoid form based on specific instructions from the system, he had been made to unconsciously mold it with Arthur’s image and ideals in mind.
In fact, now that he thought about it, the Third Elder’s golem seemed to embody him partially.
‘Maybe that’s what allowed them to merge so flawlessly, aside from the Golden Body Forging technique,’ Alec pondered, placing his right hand on his jaw as he lost himself in thought.
It didn’t take long for him to snap out of it, and he decided to focus on something else, the sword the golem was holding.
Alec had forged the weapon himself from Mid Rank spirit metal, although he hadn’t realized he was creating a weapon for the golem at the time.
While multitasking, he had been more focused on monitoring the golem’s evolution progress than on what he was refining beside it, he had just tried to construct it with his mind and now he was remembering he did that it was quite funny he didn’t realise he was making a spirit weapon for the golem.
‘Now that I think about it, even the Third Elder’s golem has its own weapon, I guess since this one was made with Arthur in mind, that’s why it has both a sword and a gauntlet,’ Alec thought, sighing once more.
“Perfect!” Alec exclaimed as he turned to look at Arthur, but the expression on Arthur’s face made him cringe, Arthur was already on the verge of tears.
“Don’t you dare!” Alec warned, but his words seemed to fall on deaf ears as Arthur launched himself through the air and hugged Alec tightly.
“Thank youuuu sooo muchhhhh!” Arthur exclaimed, tears glistening in his eyes.
He hoped that Alec would help him after revealing the flawed evolution of his golem.
And even though he felt he might have been overestimating Alec’s abilities, yesterday had shown him that even that assumption he even had was an understatement to Alec’s masterpiece.
After Alec collapsed yesterday, Arthur’s gaze was fixed on his levitating golem, and at that moment he knew Alec had been right; as the golem was now more refined, gleaming with a bright silver light.
Not only did it finally have a weapon, but one that he could wield in their merged form.
After confirming that Alec was fine, Arthur had rushed to the training room just to gauge the strength of his newly improved golem.
The enhanced speed and strength it displayed made it clear to him that the golem’s battle prowess was vastly superior to its previous state.
All of this was enough to send him over the moon, but when he heard from Alec that his golem had awakened another elemental affinity, he was ecstatic.
It just so happened that his golem’s dual affinity matched his own, meaning that when they merged, the golem would not only augment his physical stats and strength but also enhance his elemental control and everything associated with his element.
He felt immense joy, almost knocking himself for having doubted Alec; after all, even the Third Elder’s Golden Body Golem didn’t possess a second element, making his own Iron Body Golem truly one of a kind.
Let’s head to the training room down, I need you to merge with your golem and unleash your powers, I want to see just how strong you’ll be in that state,” Alec said, using his right hand to push Arthur’s face backward.
Despite this, Arthur was relentless, struggling comically to jump onto Alec’s body.
“Just like old times,” Brandon muttered to himself as he watched them both.
