The Grand Duke's Son Is A Heretic Chapter 381

Back at the camp, the sound clashing of weapons kept on going along with shrill screams of wounded.

Vic’s sword met the naked fists of the bulky demon. The demon roared as he rained down fist.

Each strike of his shook the air like thunder. Its fists were wrapped in thick mist, black and heavy, spreading like smoke.

Vic held his ground. He twisted his blade, deflecting the blows. Sparks shot out each time steel met flesh, but the defence of the demon’s body was quite powerful.

Belphegor laughed, his voice rough and filled with madness."You are a fine young man. Much finer than those weaklings."

Vic’s eyes narrowed. He tightened his grip and pressed back. "You’ve only fought the weaker ones. If you were a real man, you’d fight stronger ones."

The demon’s grin widened. His teeth were jagged, his lips curled with hunger.

"Haaa... a brave tongue. That is a good way to provoke me, human. But we demons don’t play by rules. We follow our primal instincts."

He slammed his fist down again. The ground trembled beneath them."In the end, winning is all that matters."

Vic caught the strike with his blade, his arms trembled from the force of the fist. The demon’s words echoed in his ears. His mind flashed back to Kael’s voice, calm yet harsh.

[You knights are too blinded by fair play. Fair play has its place in duels, but in war, it is nothing but a chain around your neck.]

[Your true goal should be to defeat the enemy as quickly as possible and save your strength.]

Vic’s eyes then lit up and his lips curled with a twisted grin.

He lowered his blade and shifted his stance. His eyes searched the demon’s massive body, scanning for weakness.

An inconspicuous point which he could strike at.

The demon swung again only to meet empty air as Vic turned around and slipped to the side. His boots scraped against the dirt as he ran low and fast. In one swift move, he dropped and slid under the demon’s massive frame. His sword glimmered as it cut upward through the gap between the legs.

The sharp edge of his blade tore through the flesh.

The demon froze for a moment. His body stiffened.

His face twisted with an uncanny pain that made his entire body tremble...

"Furkk... krummkkk!" The sound that was choked out of its throat was broken, filled with a mixture of rage and pain. His voice turned to ragged gasps.

"You... that’s dirty." His words trembled, filled with weakness.

Vic rose slowly, his blade dripping red. His lips curled into a thin smile. "Sorry, pal. But that’s what I learned from you."

He lowered his sword and looked the demon in the eye. His tone was cold. "In the end, winning is all that matters."

At the end,the demon could only curse as it staggered down.

With a heavy thud, the demon’s body crashed to the ground. Dust rose in the air, mixing with the thick stench of blood. The sudden death silenced the battlefield for a brief moment. For origınal chapters go to 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡⚑𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚⚑𝙣𝙚𝙩

The demons nearby stared, their eyes wide and their fangs bared.

"Holy shit," one of them hissed.

"He is down," another growled, its voice cracking with surprise.

"He is strong," one muttered in disbelief.

Vic lifted his sword, the crimson blade reflected the blood of prey he killed.

His calm but sharp eyes cut through the enemies. The demons, though shaken, did not step back. Their claws dug into the dirt, their breaths loud and heavy.

Vic took one step forward. His boots pressed hard into the ground. That step alone made the demons tense. He moved again, and they broke into a charge.

Steel ripped the air. Vic swung his sword fast, each strike sharp and clean.

Handle met the first demon head-on. His sword clashed against the beast’s claws, locking him in a hard struggle. The demon pressed with wild strength, forcing Handle back into a pinch. His arms trembled, and teeth clenched as he held the weight.

But before the demon could overpower him, Gare slid behind with quick, sharp footwork. His sword swept in one clean motion. Blood sprayed as he sliced across the demon’s back, cutting deep. The beast howled before it fell face-first onto the dirt.

The two men moved again, their blades flowing in rhythm. Gare’s slash covered Handle’s weak spot, while Handle’s guard shielded Gare when he struck.

Their steps shifted in unison, left and right, forward and back, weaving around each other like dancers in a grim, bloody rhythm.

Every time a demon lunged, one blocked while the other struck. Claws met blades causing sparks to fly in the dark night.

Gore painted the ground as their swords carved through throats, arms, and skulls. The eerie sound of tearing flesh echoed through the camp.

"Keep the rhythm!" Gare shouted as he twisted his blade free from a demon’s chest. His sword dripped thick with black blood.

As they cut through the horde, they spotted Vic.

Vic in the distance fought like a lone beast, carving a path through a swarm of demons.

Gare’s eyes narrowed. He understood that even someone as strong as Vic could be trapped if the numbers kept building.

He turned quickly to the scattered soldiers nearby, men standing frozen with fear. Their hands shook a bit.

"You!" Gare barked, his voice cutting sharp through the chaos. "Team up with me! Listen to my command if you want to live!"

The soldiers rushed, some stumbling but obeying. Gare’s gaze was cold, steady. He pointed his blade outward. "Shield wall in front. Swords behind. Hold your ground. Don’t falter and March forward.

The soldiers obeyed Gare words.

The shields moved, locking together in a rough line. Gare stood at the center, his sword raised high. He gave a sharp gesture. "Advance!"

The formation moved ahead.

"Human ... .Crush them..."The demons also roared with an eerie expression and rushed to humans who slammed them with the shield.

Shields clashed against the rushing demons. The impact rang like thunder as claws and fangs smashed against their shield.
