Tula heard the man speak out, "Since everyone is here, let’s go the elder must already be waiting for us"
They all nodded, as they began walking deeper into the alleway soon they all came to a clearing littered with camps where elders or humans that look like twigs are busy mending their tents.
The humans paid no mind to them as they walked by before walking into a big tent that looked a lot more neat and better than other tents around. Raising the tents they all walked into the tent with the man Tula was tailing being the last as he looked behind and around him in caution before going into the tent.
"Found them" Tula thought to herself, but she still hadn’t seen the face of the elder they were visiting. He is probably the leader of this rebel group.
At the same time, Tula was thinking to herself "This rebel group is smaller than i thought, what do they hope on accomplishing" Moving closer to the tent, Tula was about to take her dagger out and make a small hole she can peek through but then stopped as what if the artifact takes her action of her wanting to take action and exposing herself.
While Tula was disturbed, suddenly she saw a hole being made in the tent. Smiling to herself; Tula decided to fall back, "At least one of them has already seen this supposed leader".
Meanwhile Puchi in his invisible state made a hole where one of his eyes could see clearly through the tent, looking into the tent. Puchi saw about a bit over dozen men hurdle together and the center of this hurdled men was an Old man who Puchi immediately recognized as the former leader of this settlement.
Puchi saw they were still talking, but he already got what he came here for. "He has no interest in listening to miserable humans who sought out their problem" Puchi thought to himself as he fell back.
Meanwhile, a little bit up in the sky were three human sized eyeballs with snake-like pupils that had been shadowing Puchi, Tobi and Nala. The eyeballs have been following them since they came to the settlement tonight. From the eyeball point of view all it saw was the heat signature of the three figures.
The eyeball followed them patiently the whole night, until it saw how the pattern of their movement changed as they began following behind humans who for some reason were heading to the same place, the eyeball followed until they got to the tent where Omadi made his new home.
As soon as their apelings fell back, the eyeball also followed them but as soon as they got to the forest the eyeballs stopped before changing direction heading back to Osita house.
Osita in the basement in a meditation bose opened his eyes with a weird look on his face, "Was that what they were looking for, Omadi?
"Did he get some kind of treasure they are interested in or have something that is of value to them" Osita stood up perplexed. He thought they were planning something against him this whole time but instead it was Omadi who caught their attention.
"But what is it that Omadi have that I don’t" Osita thought but soon looked at a small hole in the basement where eyeballs flew in from before heading deeper into the basement where the doors where, soon screams could be heard from the same position.
Not minding that, Osita thought to himself "Since I have found out what they are looking for, I just have to keep a close watch on Omadi to make sure they never get there had on whatever it is they want from him" As for making a move on Omadi, Osita would rather not as now he knows that they don’t have an eye out on him. He would rather all the attention is on Omadi while he falls behind to get the last laugh.
Back in the forest, the scouts were all heading back to their hideout, this time much earlier as they already got what they needed, Soon much closer to their hideout. The smell of food got their attention as everyone took off their concealment artifact.
"What, you guys?!" Tobi almost screamed out as he saw the other appearing from right beside him.
Tula smiled seeing that, While Zephyr jumped down from the tree as they turned to bow to him but he stopped them, "if you came back this early, that means you found what we are looking for"
"Indeed your highness, we all were able to trace a group of humans who turned out to be the rebels. Someone among us saw the leader’s face" Tula said as she looked at her group.
Pochi spoke up this, " I was indeed able to see the leader’s face and it made sense on why he would rebel, the leader of the rebel group turned out to be the former head of this settlement before osita took over"
Zephyr meanwhile was listening closely as he nodded, "Good is that all?"
Tula spoke up this time, "I have something but i don’t think it will be helpful but I couldn’t help but notice how little the rebel group was compared to the amount of humans living in the settlement"
Tobi chipped in, "It now makes sense why they wer so hard to find, we all assumed with the settlement current situation there would be more rebels but it turned out to be the opposite or maybe the don’t want too many people joining them and they are only just trying to save their own lives"
Zephyr said nothing but nodded, "You all showed take time to rest and eat the food prepared, I will be heading back to the kingdom tonight, while I am gone don’t go back to the settlement just do as you were doing before stay on the lookout for any changes"
The scout was surprised by Zephyr’s words, "But it’s dark already your highness, there could be dangers lurking in the darkness while not waiting until tomorrow when the sun is up before leaving".
Zephyr, hearing the words, laughed, "Kids, I am flattered by your concern but I have to do this. I hope you don’t think that while i was here, i was only preparing meals and lying around waiting for you to be back with news"
"I have been doing my own reconnaissance, and i got nothing significant back which is not good in my case. I may not have the concealment artifact but i am good at what i do which is gathering intel, yet this time i got nothing showing that the leader of this settlement is more than capable so the earlier I inform father the king, the better it is for everyone" Zephyr said as he turned around.
"See you in a day or two kids" Zephyr said as wind started fluttering around him and with quickness he was gone.
The scouts looked at themselves shrugging as they picked up a plate to serve themselves some food while they ate in silence, what they were thinking of no one knows.
Meanwhile Zephyr was rushing through the night back to the kingdom, he still has no idea what his father’s plans are doing but he trusts and understands his father enough to know that he doesn’t make a move randomly.
All of a sudden, Zephyr’s expression changed and he felt himself being watched. Turning back to see where the feedback was from, all he saw was a deep dark colored bird-like creature perched on a tree looking at him.
Zephyr thought he was seeing things as the bird disappeared from his view, stopping and looking around Zephyr no longer felt the creature sight or sense any thing in close proximity with him.
"Was my father’s stories true?" Zephyr remembered one of the stories told to them by his father when they were still kids, he even still warned them of it even after they grew up. According to their father, when he was young and recently left his father’s realm.
He came across a huge four legged dark colored beast that could disappear out of thin air and appear somewhere else like teleportation or turning Invisible. "No children, it’s abilities were none of that. When the creatures disappear it goes to a world the same as ours but without its vibrant colors and it appears means it left that world" Zephyr remembered his father’s words as he answered their curiosity on why the creature van disappeared.
"According to father, In that world there are things of horror living there, if possible try not to get sucked into that world" Zephyr remembered that as all the mana in his body began churning, with a zoom he was gone.
Right when he was gone, A huge bird claw tore apart the ground where he was previously standing. Not even bothering to look back Zephyr focused his full attention on running, Truly he was curious on what could scare even his father but "If even my own father could be scared what about me" Zephyr thought to himself as he ran.
