“What major at University A?” Lady Chen asked casually.

Yu Shuhua remained silent, and Lady Chen looked somewhat skeptical, until Qi Wanli spoke up, “Yueyue is studying Agronomy.”
Upon hearing Qi Wanli’s answer, the expressions on the faces of Lady Chen, President Chen, and Chen Jing all showed surprise.
“Why choose that major? Was it because the score wasn’t high enough for the preferred choices? You can switch majors in sophomore year, can’t you? Why didn’t she switch?” Lady Chen asked curiously.
Qi Zhen spoke up, “My sister was the top science scholar in our province that year; she chose the major herself.”
Lady Chen’s expression became even more astonished, looking at Qi Yue not as if seeing a top student, but rather as if seeing a fool, “With those scores, couldn’t she have chosen any major?”
Such high scores would allow for any choice of major, but choosing such an unpopular one was probably hard for outsiders to understand.
Yu Shuhua’s expression was displeased, “Exactly, it would have been better to just score average; such high scores, yet she chose such a major…”
Qi Yue had long since grown accustomed to hearing such remarks; she just wanted to finish eating quickly and leave, so she kept her head down, eating, not eager to say another word.
