If it weren’t for the Clan Chief Ya’s beloved granddaughter causing a ruckus today, the matter between Ya Molian and Lin Caisang wouldn’t have been blown out of proportion. There would’ve been time to solve it. They could’ve found a way.

"Who knows, you all stay here. I’m going to take a look." Ya Tu stood up and walked out of the courtyard.
"Clan Chief, what brings you here?"
Approaching Clan Chief Ya, he asked in a low voice.
"Ya Tu, you’ve heard about today’s event, haven’t you?" Clan Chief Ya cut right to the chase, aiming his question at Ya Tu.
"Today’s event? What event?" Ya Tu feigned ignorance.
"You see, Clan Chief, I just got home. Was there some kind of issue?"
"It’s about Ya Molian and Lin Caisang!"
Clan Chief Ya didn’t believe that Ya Tu knew nothing about it. This old fox was good at playing dumb. Did he think the Clan Chief didn’t know him?
"Oh, you’re talking about Molian’s affairs. I heard a bit about it. What about it?"Ya Tu nodded.
Clan Chief Ya snorted coldly, staring at Ya Tu.
"You go and tell Ya Molian that you don’t agree with his affair with Lin Caisang, understand?"
Ya Tu widened his eyes upon hearing this, questioning him.
"Lin Caisang is our village’s blessing. Whoever marries her will have good fortune. You know that Clan Chief. Why can’t Molian marry her?"
He asked this while sneering internally.
Don’t think that he didn’t know what Clan Chief Ya was contemplating. He wanted him to play the villain so that he could reap the benefits by bringing Ya Molian into his family.
Did he think he was stupid? Would he ever allow Ya Molian to become his son-in-law?
If Ya Molian were to marry Lin Caisang, he could figure out a way to have Gold or Silver marry into Ya Molian’s family. Ya Molian wouldn’t dare neglect his daughter out of respect for his past favor.
But if Ya Molian really ended up in the Clan Chief’s house, given Ya Yuju’s nature, who would dare to send their daughter there?
"Why? Because Lin Caisang does not respect her elders, she dares to talk back to me. Because of this alone, we cannot let her marry into the Ya Clan. Otherwise, it would be chaotic in the future!"
Clan Chief Ya roared at him.
"If Ya Molian really marries her, you’re in for it!"
"But... Molian has already moved out. According to our rules, I shouldn’t interfere with his affairs, right?" Ya Tu hesitated, not responding to the Clan Chief’s remark.
"You are his father, how can you not have a say in his affairs? Rules are inanimate, but you are a living person, right? Come up with a plan immediately!" Clan Chief Ya, knowing that Ya Tu was a slippery one, didn’t mince words with him and straight-out ordered him.
"If you can’t handle this matter, you’ll end up like Ya Molian, finding a place in the family tree for yourself. Your family will no longer be listed in the clan registry in my hand!"
"You... Clan Chief Ya, how could you do this?" Ya Tu was stunned when he heard this.
Was it necessary for him to interject? He was even being threatened with the family tree! If their family was expelled from the clan registry, what could they do in the future? This was absolutely unacceptable.
