“Hey rat, tell her how many doctors I’ve beaten,” the Little Overlord Zhong shouted at the servant behind him, who immediately moved forward, stealthily hunching his body, gleefully revealing a number to Lin Caisang.
“Our young master has beaten fifteen doctors so far, each getting ten hits!”
Lin Caisang chuckled softly.
“So, you’re scared now, aren’t you?” The Little Overlord Zhong jeered with an even more triumphant look on his face.
“Scared? It would be reasonable to be.”
Lin Caisang looked up and before anyone could make out what was happening, they noticed a blur in front of their eyes as the bamboo pick was already pierced into the Little Overlord Zhong’s hand. The next moment…
A crisp slap landed on the Little Overlord Zhong’s face. The surprise hit sent him into a fit of yelping, his eyes fixated on his own hand that had, moments before, struck him.
Yet another crisp slap rang out, landing this time on the other half of his face. Before he even got the chance to finish speaking, both sides of his face had reddened from her hits.
“Master, Master, what’s wrong with you?”
Assuming it was because of the bamboo pick, the rat quickly removed it, thinking this would solve the issue. Little did he know, it was of no use. The Little Overlord Zhong was caught in a frenzy, continuously slapping himself and showing no signs of stopping.
“Who… who are you to bully our young master? Better watch out, Old Master Zhong will make sure you won’t eat a thing you can’t vomit out.” He was flustered, angrily shouting at Lin Caisang.
“I answered the call, naturally I am the doctor, didn’t you know?” Lin Caisang answered with a smile.
Turning her head to look at Little Overlord Zhong, who was sobbing out streams of tears from his spectacular self-beating, she snorted coldly. She reached out, took the bamboo pick from the rat and dropped it to the ground.
“You’re so fond of hitting people, let this lady allow you to have your fill!”
Little Overlord Zhong wanted to curse at Lin Caisang, but the slap had dazed him so much he wasn’t able to form enough words to sentence.
“You’re called rat, right? Lead the way, to the Zhong residence.”
Lin Caisang gave the order to the servant, ignoring the Little Overlord Zhong.
The rat, not having received any approval from the Little Overlord Zhong, stood hesitating, unsure whether or not he should lead the way.
“What, want to slap yourself a few times as well?” Lin Caisang bluntly asked.
He quickly spoke out three “no’s”, timidly glancing at the Little Overlord Zhong, then began to lead Lin Caisang towards the Zhong residence.
Behind them, the Little Overlord Zhong was still yowling while he continued to beat himself. Surrounded by people with absolutely no sympathy for him. He could only bitterly point at Lin Caisang’s back, trailing behind on their way back home, preparing to tattle to his own father.
At the Zhong Residence, when Old Master Zhong heard that a doctor had answered the call, he was met with the sight of his own son’s face swollen and turning bloody. He widened his eyes in disbelief, trembling as he pointed at his son’s hand which was still whacking away at his own face.
You, you…you little beast, I tell you, your act of feigned suffering won’t yield you any extra money from me!”
His one free hand pointing at Lin Caisang, ready to blurt out his complaints. However, upon hearing his father’s callous remark, he felt a sense of darkness envelop him, and he collapsed on the ground.
If only he could have spit out some blood.
