"Madam... Madam... Madam, what are you doing here?"
What’s going on? Wasn’t the lord supposed to come here to see the female physician from the National Teacher’s residence? How... How could it be the madam?
Lin Caisang didn’t answer his question, but simply raised her eyebrows toward another chair, signaling him to sit down.
"Sang’er, how did you come to Shaohua City to treat Suri’s illness? His disease, it’s incurable, isn’t it?" As soon as Zhe Jue sat down, he heard his own lord address Lin Caisang, so he quickly nodded in agreement.
That Suri, even without Jiang Zuo’s poison, was doomed to die soon. Why would the madam be so kind as to treat his illness?
"It’s not treating the illness, just the poison," Lin Caisang replied.
"I never intended to treat his illness. With the likes of Suri, better dead than alive. Eat something; look at you, it’s only been a few days since you left Ya Village, and you’ve already lost weight."
While she put her own bowl and chopsticks in front of Ya Molian and then served him some vegetables to eat, she continued to murmur.
"Don’t you know how to take care of your own health? And you too, Zhe Jue, what’s the matter with all of you? Can’t you take proper care of your lord? Look at him, he’s become so thin."

"So, madam, you used some kind of steaming method to detoxify him?" He quickly changed the subject and asked.
Hearing about that detoxifying method made his flesh creep. Who could stand to be soaked in water while someone boiled it from below? It’s a wonder he wasn’t cooked alive.
"Madam, you did it on purpose, right? You just wanted to torment that bastard Suri?"
Lin Caisang shook her head.
She would have to be bored to tears to want to bother tormenting that guy. Seeing him could ruin her mood for the whole day.
"Suri’s poison is easy to cure, the antidote is in Jiang Zuo’s hands," Ya Molian said after picking up a piece of meat and holding it to Lin Caisang’s mouth, waiting for her to eat it before continuing.
"This poison, it really was Jiang Zuo’s doing?" Lin Caisang blinked her lovely eyes and asked with a smile.
She had suspected before that such a lethal and blameless poison must have been the work of someone—turns out, it really was Jiang Zuo!

"Madam, the poison wasn’t personally administered by Jiang Zuo but by our own spy," Zhe Jue explained.
At the time Suri was poisoned, they were all still in Ya Village. How could they possibly have come here and poisoned Suri?
Upon hearing this, Lin Caisang furrowed her brows and looked at Ya Molian.
"Since when are your spies capable of stretching their arms so long to take on assassination tasks?" she asked, her face clearly showing displeasure.
Everyone has their specialty. Spies are responsible for gathering intelligence, not for killing. How could someone do both? Keeping such a person around seemed wrong.
"Don’t tell me that Suri was poisoned without your consent?"
Ya Molian didn’t deny it and nodded.
"Brother Molian, such a person should not be kept around. Better to deal with him sooner rather than later," Lin Caisang suggested to him.
Acting without orders, and even doing what they’re not skilled at, could very well cause harm to themselves and to others. Keeping such a person close is like strapping a time bomb to oneself.
