Lin Caisang gave him a flat refusal.
"He’s asleep. If he drowns in the medicinal bath, who will take responsibility? Don’t even tell me someone can support him. The water in the bath is poisonous. If anyone is willing to hold him and isn’t afraid of dying, then I surely won’t stop them," she said.
The butler’s mouth twitched violently.
"Miss, aren’t those detoxifying herbs? How could they be poisonous?"
"Ever heard of fighting poison with poison?" Lin Caisang retorted.
"Besides, a person’s absorption of medicinal properties is vastly different when asleep than when awake. If one were to sleep through the detoxification, it would take much longer, and we don’t have that much time, understand?"
Having said that, she glanced towards Ya Molian’s direction.
"This subordinate understands," the butler had no choice but to agree.
"Also, tomorrow night we should find a deserted place, so Young Master Su’s cries don’t attract unwanted attention," Lin Caisang instructed further.
"Yes, this subordinate knows," he responded again.
The butler agreed once more.
"If there’s nothing else, then I’m going to rest. We need to hit the road early tomorrow," Lin Caisang said.
She had been jostled around on the road during the day, sleeping in the carriage, and working in her spatial realm at night. Her body felt like it was falling apart. Now that the clothes she was making for Ya Molian were done, she naturally wanted to rest properly for the night.
Just as Lin Caisang was about to walk towards Ya Molian’s side, she heard the butler’s voice and stopped to look at him.
"What is it?" she asked.
"Well... Miss, all the men are at Prince Mo’s side, and... and for you to rest there, it’s really inappropriate. Perhaps you should return to your own carriage to rest. What do you think?"
After much consideration, the butler suggested Lin Caisang return to the National Teacher’s side, citing the reputation of a young lady as the reason.
But Lin Caisang rejected his ’thoughtfulness’ outright.

Lin Caisang’s voice was soft but carried a heavy warning, even her gaze seemed somewhat menacing.
"This... Miss, I apologize, I spoke out of turn," the butler instantly felt a chill down his spine and hurriedly apologized.
How could he forget just how formidable this woman was? Fortunately, he hadn’t made direct reference to the wishes of his master; otherwise, it was uncertain whether she would continue treating the young master.
"Good that you know it was out of turn."
