The Dragon’s Breath, that had obliterated Ether Strike, came after Inglis. If she was to be exposed to this, her body enveloped in Ether Armor notwithstanding, even she wouldn’t come out unscathed.
As a race, dragons had power in their very existence, as they were capable of manipulating paranormal phenomena. Their unique biological power. The mechanism, the nature behind it… In the long days back of King Inglis, those who studied the Dragons called it Dragon Roar; a power fundamentally different from mere sorcery that relied on mana.
It was not rooted in the Ether, the very source of all things in this world. In other words, it was a power completely independent of the laws of this world and worked on a completely unknown system.
There were many theories to explain it. For example, one said that Dragons were originally from a world different from this one, or that the creators known as the Dragons were different from the Gods known to Inglis and all humanity, or that Dragons were once servants of Gods who killed their master and stole their power to develop their own power, and so on and so forth.
Which one was the correct theory, Inglis had no clue. But one thing she could say for sure was that the power of the Dragons was so mighty they could kill a God and snatch their power away.
In terms of quality, Dragon Roar was only second to Ether. Especially Dragon Roar that belonged to a Dragon God like Vufailbane was of the highest amongst Dragons.
Inglis continued to run around and dodge the Dragon’s Breath. The extremely compressed, glistening cold air quickly turned the ground into blocks of ice at the moment of contact, creating obstacles for her.
「The power of a Dragon God is fantastic, after all!」
Ice blocks shining like gemstones filled the surrounding area. Inglis was impressed at the sight.
A tremendous amount of power continued to be released for such a long period of time and it showed no sign of slowing down. If it was Inglis who had to continue releasing this much power for such a long time, she would have run out of juice already.
While it was not directly related to the outcome of this match, in terms of stamina, she couldn’t match the dragon. She had to admit this. She needed to train more and even more. There was no other way to close this gap except through training.
