It came as no surprise that people’s opinion of Kai would change after learning that he was the hero. They wanted to jump at this sudden opportunity to become friendly with him, to either be his friend, woman, or be recognized.
But Kai found that annoying as hell. Luckily for him, he had been preparing for this moment.
Something that he learned was that his hypnosis didn’t work from eye contact; it worked from his intentions. If he wants to hypnotize an entire room, he could, and his hypnosis would do the job.
However, the restrictions would still be in place. So while he could hypothetically hypnotize an entire kingdom, there would still be thousands of people who wouldn’t fall under the hypnosis and wonder why their neighbor is okay with their wife getting railed by Kai and having his child.
But, this wouldn’t be a problem right now, nor would it be one later. The reason? Well in his current situation, it was because everyone knew he was the hero. So no matter what color they were, it would all turn pink since the hero is the most respected person in the kingdom. The will of their goddess.
As for why it wouldn’t matter later, it was because he would become a well-renowned S-Rank adventurer, and, obviously, the hero as well.
So, before things could get out of hand, he said a simple command.
"Forget that I’m the hero. The hero came and saved the day, but quickly left as fast as he came." He wouldn’t deny the hero being there, but he would get all the smoke off him.
Only Kai’s girls remained aware of him being the hero. Thankfully, hypnotized people arent aware when Kai uses the ability, so even though his girls don’t know he has that ability, their brains will automatically adjust to whatever Kai commands or simply accept what he’s doing is normal.
Kassandra stood up to give a speech. "Listen up, everyone. We managed to make it out of this crisis with relatively little loss! Turn to your neighbor, check to see if they are okay. Give them a helping hand, and let’s get out of this place. We’ll leave the rest up to the church as this is now in their jurisdiction."
Out of the 800 people that entered, only 200 people died, while 150 were injured, but they were healed by Kai and also by the hero’s sword.
There was no need to look around for treasure since the place was meant to build an army, not horde anything of value. So, because of that, everyone packed up and left. What would have been a few-day journey turned into a few-hour fight.
"Huh? You finished already, Guildmaster?" The paladin asked
"Actually..." Kassandra explained everything, from the demon to the hero. Of course, she went along with Kai’s version, not ratting him out to the Paladin.
"No wonder I feel a bunch of divine energy coming out of Labyrinth. I’ll get my men on this right away! You there, inform the Saintess that there has been a hero sighting in Ashenfall."
’Thank god for hypnosis.’ Kai prayed. ’Ew, gross. Am I praying to Leo? Fuck that.’

Everyone returned to the city and celebrated their victory over surviving a demon while mourning their lost friends and family.
Kai didn’t attend as he wanted some time to himself so he could think about his next move.
’Should I just go all in my stats? I mean, I could, and that would be ideal. I wouldn’t have to worry about almost losing against someone that strong again. Or I could train even harder than I already am. Not to mention, I just increased my stats recently. Hmm, decisions. Let me check how many points I got from killing Dante first.’

She smirked, pushing Kai onto the bed, then jumped on top of him.
"Gwen and Amaya started arguing again about who’s better in bed, so I snuck off to get a little taste." She licked her lips. "Well, can I?" She asked, her voice sultry
Kai smiled. "I won’t say no to that."
