Soon, YingPei found the perfect time to meet Daiyu when she went to the Champagne table to pick a glass.
He has been thinking of which of his sister-in-law's friends he should meet, until that time Daiyu came to take Jasmine from him.
He studied Daiyu for a bit and knew that she was different. She was not like Jia Li or like DanDan and Chang Chang. She looked more like a strong woman.
Before walking up to her, YingPei was a bit afraid as he thought, 'Hope she doesn't have the hobby of beating up men?'
YingPei thought like that because of the reason he was going to meet her and her personality and how she would react. Because of this, he had that thought, before thinking of a better way to communicate with her.
Luckily, he found her at the Champagne tower where fewer people were and went to meet her.
"Young master Fu." Daiyu called out with a smile. That was her own way of greeting him
YingPei smiled and responded to her greeting. "YingPei, call me YingPei."
Daiyu smiled in understanding before fixing her smiling gaze on Jia Li and Fu Hua were dancing on stage.
YingPei followed her gaze to his brother and sister-in-law and asked, "What are you thinking about?"
Without looking at him, Daiyu replied, "Looking at Jia Li so happy today, makes me want a good man that will give me a perfect wedding like this."
"Are you seriously thinking about that?" YingPei asked.
"Why not? Which woman doesn't want a perfect wedding like this?" Daiyu asked with her gaze on him.
Although before, she wasn't that interested in men and like what DanDan and Chang Chang said, she was always talking about beating them up if they bullied anyone of them but it looks like her views have changed.
YingPei smiled. "That's not hard. I am a good man and I can give you the perfect wedding that you want."
Daiyu seemed surprised by his words and stared at him in shock. "Are you joking? In fact, why would you speak that way?"
"Because I'm ready to be serious with my private life. I'm ready to date, so I came to you." YingPei replied. He wasn't sure he came off the right way but anyway, he was already giving this matter a shot.
Daiyu chuckled and said because she thought he was bluffing and she didn't take his words seriously, "You look like you don't lack women."
YingPei heaved a sigh and replied with his gaze on her, "I don't understand what you mean but I lack women. I have dated a lot of girls before but since I came back to China, I haven't had any relationship. My last serious relationship ended before I traveled out and since then, others have just been flings."
Daiyu kind of got interested in his story and so asked, "Why did you stop dating because you don't look like someone that will like to stay single?"
"Working in FJ is tiring and besides, I didn't want to have any entanglement with any woman just for fun. I was ready to live my life until I meet the right woman." YingPei replied and Daiyu asked immediately,
"Am I the right woman?"
YingPei smiled and said before drinking from his glass of Champagne. "I'm not sure but I'm quite interested in you. We can only find out if we are right for each other when we go on a date, so what do you say?"
Daiyu found all this fun. She chuckled softly before asking to make sure of his intentions, "Are you asking me out now?"
"Of course. Let's go on a date tomorrow evening by 4 pm, I will reserve a good place and send you the address. But if you permit me, I will come to pick you up." YingPei said with a smile as he whipped out his phone from his trousers pocket.
"I haven't even agreed on the date and you are already saying this." Daiyu said with raised brows. She was truly surprised by his boldness.
YingPei passed his phone to her while speaking to her and she instinctively reached out to take it from him.
"Let's start by exchanging contacts. Don't think that I'm a bad person. But let's say I was in the past but I will never treat you unfairly because you are my sister-in-law's friend and my brother will come for my precious fingers, so I don't dare to be deceitful."
"Never would I have believed anyone who would tell me that I would be asked out in this matter? I would like to hear your story, so I will give you my contact. I'm not a weakling who needs help from anyone, my fists are strong enough for a good defense against scums." Daiyu replied and passed his phone back to him after giving out her contact.
YingPei clutched his chest and said to her with furrowed brows while receiving his phone with the other hand, "Are you trying to scare me away?"
"If you are not guilty of having any evil intentions towards me, there won't be a need to be scared of my threats." Daiyu replied with a smile.
YingPei scrutinized her with his gaze while thinking if he made the mistake of picking her out of the 3 friends his sister-in-law had.
YingPei didn't have any absurd thoughts towards her but her threats were already starting to scare him away.
"After the party is over, I will introduce you to my grandfather. He wants me to start soon. I know we haven't yet gone on our first date but I have to do this today or I will be in big trouble."
"I see, your grandfather wants you to settle down soon but it's all for your own good. Let me remind you that if we kick off well and find ourselves suitable for each other, we shouldn't rush things." Daiyu said to him.
The feeling of a relationship and settlement being rushed wasn't a good feeling for her and she would like to take things gradually if things went well with them.
