Jasmine who was not used to being around a lot of unfamiliar people was stuck like a glue by her parents' side.
Jia Li had fun with the children on behalf of the little girl who didn't make any attempt to go near the children. While her mother was playing with the children, she stuck in her father's arms and watched them curiously.
After a fun day at the Orphanage, the family of three clicked a few pictures with them before leaving. Jasmine was deep into sleep when they arrived at the Fu Mansion.
Fu Hua got a call regarding the upcoming Fashion show, so Jia Li had to carry the little girl inside the house.
After cleaning the little girl's, face, hands and feet, Jia Li left her in the bedroom and came out. Just as she closed the door, she saw YingPei who smiled at her and called out to her.
"Sister-in-law!"
Jia Li smiled back at him and met him halfway in the hallway.
"What can I do for you?" Jia Li asked. She guessed that YingPei must need her help in something as his bedroom was not around that side he came to.
YingPei smiled sheepishly and said to her, "Sister-in-law, can I buy you a drink?"
Jia Li seemed surprised by his request. 'He must have something important to talk about.' She thought.
"I'm a little tired after playing with the children and I still have to check the packages that are coming today for Jasmine's birthday." Jia Li said to him.
YingPei thought that it must be tiring and so dicided not to take her out. But because what he needed was urgent, he pleaded with her to have some tea with her at home, while they talk.
Jia Li agreed to that and so, YingPei took her to the garden and personally made a pot of Chamomile tea for her.
"Thank you." Jia Li said as she received the cup of tea from him. After blowing on it and taking a sip, she asked with interest, "Are you usually like this when you want something from someone."
Jia Li asked that question because she could already imagine YingPei asking Fu Hua or any member of the family for favors in that manner.
YingPei chuckled and replied, "Sister-in-law, if you put it that way, you will make me look like an opportunist. I felt it was right for us to talk over a drink or tea because of the importance of the matter."
"How can I help you?" Jia Li asked.
"Your friend Daiyu and I are dating and I... Sister-in-law, are you okay?" YingPei wasn't able to finish his words in one sentence and had to stop because Jia Li just choked on her tea.
He had to go to her side and pass her a napkin to cover her mouth while she coughed. He would have liked to help her calm down a lot, but the thought of his brother seeing or learning that he touched his wife, dissipated those thoughts.
"Sister-in-law, I'm sorry for shocking you. I thought you should have known about it by now?" YingPei said.
Seeing how shocked Jia Li was, he figured out that she was still unaware of his relationship with Daiyu.
'Did she forget to inform her or what?' YingPei thought.
"Known about what?" Fu Hua who heard YingPei's voice when he came to find his voice, asked as he made an entrance with his hands in his pockets.
YingPei ran back to his seat and sat there with his gaze on his brother. Thankfully, Jia Li had stopped coughing and was now wiping her hands and clothe with the napkin.
"Brother you know about it. It's about me dating Daiyu." YingPei replied.
"Oh!" Fu Hua said and went to sit next to his wife who put down the napkin on the table and glanced at him in surprise.
"Oh? You knew about it too?" She asked.
"Kind of. I was the one that gave him that idea of choosing one of your friends to date but as for the other updates ahead, I have no idea about it." Fu Hua said.
As if Jia Li was not surprised enough, Fu Hua had to shock her again by saying that he was the one that gave his brother that idea.
Seeing that his wife looked like she had no idea about it. Fu Hua thought that none of her friends must have told her about it, so he decided to tell him all he knew before YingPei continued the story.
Jia Li was also surprised that her friend Daiyu and her brother-in-law YingPei kicked off well in their new relationship.
After getting the gist of the story, YingPei went on to talk about the reason he wanted to sit and talk with her.
He wanted to know more about Daiyu, her likes and dislikes. Jia Li could feel how long the conversation would take them, so she decided to tell him everything she knew about Daiyu.
Their conversation lasted for more than 2 hours.
When Jia Li got back to her bedroom, Jasmine was not there. The little girl was already awake and must have gone out for her puppy.
Picking up her phone, Jia Li dialed Daiyu's contact. After a few rings, she picked up.
"Hey, Jia Li, how are you doing?" Daiyu asked immediately while panting for air.
"What did you do that's making you pant for air? Did you chase someone down the alleyway?" Jia Li teased.
Daiyu snorted and said, "I can't believe that my favorite has joined the other spoilt brats to tease me. I went for an evening run. I have to keep up with my daily exercise routine."
"Make sure to arrive at the city on time tomorrow." Jia Li reminded her.
The next day was Jasmine's birthday and Jia Li wished her friends, who were also the godmothers of her daughter, would be there on time.
"Sure, why not? I will remind DanDan and Chang Chang to meet me at the airport for our 7 am flight." Daiyu said with a smile.
They wouldn't want to miss the final preparation for the little bun's birthday.
"Did you forget to tell me about the man you are dating now?" Jia Li asked out of the blue.
